My roof was leaking roof around my chimney. I got some estimates. Lowes was comparable and offered a very good rate on their credit card. I had just spent alot of money on remodeling so funds were tight. I chose Lowes. The roof was replaced in November. We had a storm come through on March 1st and it blew of the strips in front of my dormers. We contacted Lowes and they said they would get the contractors back out there and it had to be them or else our warranty would be voided. We contacted them several times with no response. On May 6th, Lowes called and said they didn't do roof repairs and I should get someone else to repair it. I call another company who came an looked at my roof. Come to find out the leak was not repaired and several other items were not completed as they should have been. If there is a warranty issue, GAF will not honor the warranty because the roof was installed incorrectly. I had this second company repair the leak. Lowes says since it is storm damage they will do nothing and that the second contractor is just saying it's bad job. I guess next time I get my roof replaced I (an accountant with no roofing knowledge) will have to inspect the roof and make sure they did it right before any storms come.

Not the place to buy appliances I bought a stove Novemer 2013,No I did not take out a extended warranty,But really my oven went out 6 months after buying stove. At first Lowes was really nice.about the oven going out. Now they don't even remeber me.They have been very very bad to deal with. They won't replace stove. The part is back order supposley till November. They want to blame Whirlpool But they still will not stand behind what they sell.I have been told to contact The Better Business .So I guess that will be my next step.But will no longer purchase anything from Lowes and all my friends are aware of this.
