I do a great deal of traveling in my business. Trying to find anyone or any salon with experienced and creative professionals even in the beauty business is very hard. I have had to travel as far away to have my european spa facials, my hair weaved and styled and my hands are very sensitive so, you know I have to have someone who knows how best to work with my hands and are experienced, knowledgable, but not rude. Then, of course, I have to find a place that can work on my feet and give me a european pedicure with polish. Last, but not least I need a masseuse to work on me for no less than one and a half hours, with the warm stones placed exactly on my body in the anatomically correct places. Now, unfortunately, I live in California. I have even gone as far as Palm Springs, San Diego, and the San Fernando Valley. All this travel takes me no less than one and one-half hours and the last one I mentioned usually takes me no less than 2 and 1 half hours to 3 hours. I was introduced to this salon by the owner, Charm Faust. I not only found her to be well-spoken and very knowledgable, but extremely understanding and personable. Most owners that I have met are usually rude, or too busy to talk to you, and if you have a problem with one of their staff, they make excuses and most of them, no matter the damage, they won't even try to make it right or give you your money back with a gift of a very expensive product from their retail line. I was given to three different hair stylists. I selected one out of the several girls that were there. I was thrilled with her creativity. When she weaved my hair it was amazing! Probably because of her being a transplant from New York. Everytime she has done my hair was amazing and she didn't have any problems working with my hair. She is what a hairstylist should emulate to be as. For my facial, it was wonderful! The creams the woman used was of her own making and they didn't burn my face,neck and decollette. Upper chest area. I don't know how to explain it. She waxed what needed to be waxed and it was perfect. There has been only one other woman that has ever done a perfect facial as this was, and she retired and moved out. Of the country to Europe. My nails and pedicure were performed by the owner herself, Charm. When I informed her of my medical condition, she interrupted me and finished what my medical problems were. She told ME about MY medications and what the previous medications and earlier illnesses probably were. She gave me the most gentle manicure,yet healthy,because she had put my hands in this great solution. This solution not only made it possible for my hands to work easy with. She was even able to put this great new product on my nails, which is gentler than the acrylic they normally put on my nails because of the condition of my nailbed which is damaged, which is why my nails growing out looks like an industrial accident. My nails have a hard time to grow out as well as my nails on my feet. Whenever she finishes my nails and hands.....well, they don't look sixty...they look honestly more in their forties. The feet ....well, they're feet. But, now they are presentable enough for me to wear sandals and not feel so embarrased. Ladies, when I leave Great Lengths Salon & Spa, I feel gorgeous! Like the Queen of Sheba. It isn't expensive. They really need to charge more for what they do. It seems to me that the owner Charm has been very lucky and has some real jewels in her salon. By the way, I live in California,next to Palm Springs. So, when I can, I stay for at least three days to have everything done. This salon is in a little dirt town outside of Vegas. This salon looks like it was imported from Palm Springs or one of the rooms I toured in a castle in Scotland. Like I said I travel. My husband does not mind if I do this, even if the salon is out of state. I have been going there for 5 years, I think. I would have to ask Charm. I travel a lot now because of my list.LOL! I have found myself self needing my hair or nails done on many occasions while visiting family in Pahrump. Great Lengths is the place where you can get great services at really good prices. I live in the city and pay up to $75 just for a hair cut! Their staff is very friendly and accommodating. I always leave Great Lengths feeling like I look my best!
