Very expensive. At these prices you should expect your entree to arrive hot. Did not in my case. Imo they are just trying to move too many people too fast as they can. Food that was at proper temp was good but at this price you can't miss the basics. Service is great, but they need to make sure the food is as well. Not the best meal I had on Maui, but certainly the most expensive. The Four Seasons is better.

The location can not be beat. Absolutely gorgeous. it is worth it to go at least once, but it is very expensive and there are other restaurants with high quality food on Maui.

Best Seafood on Maui



My favorite outing while visiting Maui going out for my birthday to Mama's Fish House. We read over and over again that it was the best place to eat in Maui. It didn't disappoint. The ambiance, the service, the view of the water, the freshly caught seafood.



The PASSIONFRUIT CREME BRULE. Better than any birthday cake I can imagine.



The manager even presented me with a lei of fresh flowers and berries.



Fair warning, it was also the most expensive meal I have ever had in the US.



Totally worth it.



(Be prepared with a camera to take advantage of that view while you wait. )

Mama's fish is as fresh as it comes -- and as well prepared as you will find anywhere on Maui. The Mai Tais are the best. But that's all secondary. The setting for Mama's is straight out of "South Pacific." If you were going to imagine the idealized Pacific hideaway -- Mama's is it. Expensive, yes. Worth it? yes! Absolutely.

My husband and I had eaten here in the past and we enjoyed it very much. We think that perhaps the business was bought out and they are living off of the previous owner's reputation. From the obvious price increases and the lower quality of the food. Not to mention the smaller portions and extremely pricey cocktails! Everyone should avoid this place although the view is good!

The food and service are OUTSTANDING. Bring your wallet!
