Provided by YP.comHe did more harm than good.
I came in with PTSD from a car crash, unable to drive. I saw him weekly for 10 weeks before I left.
First, he didn't follow what I now understand to be standard procedure of getting patients on anxiety meds within the first 6 months after trauma so that the PTSD doesn't become permanent.
Second, he asked me to start driving again while I was still having flashbacks and panic reactions as a passenger in the car. I was concerned that the panic reactions would cause me to lose control of the car and hurt myself and others, so I asked him if it was safe for me to drive. He assured me that yes, I would be a safe driver. The next week he admitted that he had lied about it because he knew it was what I needed to hear in order to drive. After this manipulative, unethical behavior that put me and others in danger, I lost trust in him and left, but the damage was already done. My flashbacks, nightmares and panic attacks got worse than they had ever been before therapy, to the point that I panicked just at getting into a car. My current therapist is appalled.
