I am not one to usually write bad reviews for restaurants, but was so dissapointed with our food tonight that I felt I had to share our experience.

We ordered take out from Sushi-Ai on a Sunday night, only because our usual sushi restaurant is not open on Sundays.

I'm not sure if they do not get fresh fish orders on the weekends, or what the problem was, but we were extremely disappointed with our whole sushi order!



We could smell the "fishy" smell from the fish as soon as we opened our box. The "fresh" tuna over spicy tuna roll was so fishy and discolored that it was completely inedible, as was the avocado and salmon roll. We tried 3 other rolls and they were all very bland and disappointing as well. It was the first time that I have ever had to simply throw our whole sushi order away after a few bites because of how awful it tasted. And we have tried sushi from many, many places!

For a much lower price, and wonderful service, we will definitely be sticking to our tried-and-true Asahi in palatine for our sushi from now on!!!

The watress healed my entree until I was finished with my sushi. Great service fresh sushi! Very friendly. smaller spot 25-30 people max. I will come Back!

Sushi Ai is a great new sushi restaurant in Palatine. Its very convenient at Euclid and Quentin. The Tuna Sampler is to die for. The decor is very hip, the cocktails are great and the sushi is the very best.
