Provided by YP.comI am sorry that I recommended pinch a penny of Bayside Lakes. I manage a piece of property and we started to use them earlier this past year. Everything was fine till I asked them if they could come back out and reclean the pool. For weeks the pool doesn't look like the man was even out here. The owner and his wife
are very rude and argumentative. I am shocked how two people are in a business and could have no customer service etiquette. I will not be recommending them to anyone

Provided by YP.comI had Ken the owner come out to install a replacement salt chlorinator system. I bought the same brand in part because the new cell was the same size and there wouldn't be a need to modify any of the PVC piping according to the manufacturer. After a couple hours of work I go outside to find Ken REPLACING the PVC. There was one minor change in the new system which was the addition of a 1/8" line for temperature in the section that housed the flow control switch. Rather than tap into the existing piece Ken replaced part of the the existing PVC with the new Unions and flow switch T section that came with the unit. This cost some extra time but I thought adding the new PVC fittings was fine. The problem was that when completed one of the Union joints was leaking. Ken repaired the leak with a putty like compound which I told him was unacceptable. He told me he guaranteed his work, the putty repair was better than new, and left. I later discovered another leak at the cartridge filter. Ken came back to fix this but refused to fix the putty sealed Union joint. He simply scarped off the unsightly excess putty on outside of the joint leaving a putty seal on the inside. Again, I told him such a repair was temporary only and needed to be redone. He refused. I consulted with four other businesses including another Pinch A Penny (Lake Washington-Melbourne) who all agreed with my assessment. I spent a great deal of time with the corporate Pinch A Penny customer service. They were sympathetic but in the end no one offered to redo the job or compensate me in any manner. I had to purchase new Unions and hire someone else to redo the job costing me nearly double. I would NOT recommend Ken and his store and warn others that the "warranty" is not at all backed up by the franchise.
