This was my first visit to the dermatologist, and perhaps I was expecting more, but Dr. Platzer barely spent 10 minutes in the room for my full body scan. He then decided to take off a mole because he "didn't like it." No medical reasoning given. No heads up that there would be a lab fee costing $250 on top of my $60 copay. Nope, I found that out when I received the bill a month later. After calling the office and speaking with two separate people in billing, they both basically said, "Well sorry, we can't help you." I understand that doctors have costs, but I truly felt that the procedure was unnecessary (it was a mole that I have had since birth), and that it was just a way to make an easy buck on the doctor's part. I felt very rushed in the office and left feeling just like another dollar sign. I will not be going back.

The staff was really nice and when expressing concerns because of a lack of insurance they were willing to work with us. When we got there we filled out the paperwork and within 10 minutes we were seeing the doctor. He was kind, caring and compassionate. They are fair and reasonably priced as well as knowledgable and caring, something sometimes hard to find. I was told ahead of time what worst case scenario prices would be, where as other doctors office refused to do so, and also had a 3 times the cost for the first office visit. We were done in 33 minutes total, it didn't take all day, even though there were 4 more people in the waiting room. Greatest experience ever in a doctors office.

They reallly treat you nice. The staff is friendly and the doctor is actually interested in you and listens to what you have to say.
