Provided by YP.comI moved from a very large Metroploitan city mid August to Palm Desert and had planned to stay at Casa Larrea for a week. Things did not turn out as planned. I began my job on the 14th and found I needed a room for a bit longer than a week. And so Kim and Frank who are the owners of Casa Larrea were so kind to me and graciously provided a wonderful room (rooms as I moved around a bit!) for me for 48 days! Really! And they treated me like a family member the entire time. This fabulous B&B is so exquisite. All of Kim's touches from the elegant decor in the rooms to her landscaping to her scrumptious 8:00 am breakfasts serve to please her guests. Everything Kim does is to please her guests. I have not seen such a nice morning presentation for guests as Kim's. My gosh, Kim serves the most wonderful brewed coffee, yum! Or many beautiful types of tea if you wish, icy fresh orange juice, all kinds of cereals, an array of fresh fruits, hard boiled eggs, lovely pastries such as cakes, coffee cakes, buns and rolls and bagels, sweet rolls, the list goes on. Kim is so hands on and insists on providing her guests a most fabulous experience. Every day her dedicated staff member, Edith, takes exemplary care of each room with fresh linens, cleaning top to bottom and provides fresh beach towels to have on hand after a swim in the most beautiful pool with wonderful painted tortoises on the bottom of the pool...fascinating and gorgeous! There is also a lovely spa to relax in and look up at the stars in the evenings. Kim has a smile that lights up one's day and she has a way of making each individual guest feel like he or she is Kim's only guest, she has the biggest heart. Frank is the greatest host and has the best sense of humor along with a very warm heart and a huge gentle smile. He too makes his guests feel individually important. This couple has a unique ability to engage in conversation with any one of their guests and make that person feel special. This is truly a fine couple and magnificent hosts. Many nights Kim and Frank have entertained their guests with special bar-b-cue dinners that they prepare themselves at their beautiful bar-b-cue bar decorated with creative and lively artworks! It is an exceptional experience to dine with Kim and Frank. I discovered that not only do their guests return year after year but that many guest come to stay at Casa Larrea every couple of months for short VACAs. There are guests that have been coming to Casa Larrea for many years. If you want a wonderful vacation experience that is private and intimate and very special you must book a reservation at Casa Larrea, you will never have an experience as beautiful as you will have at Casa Larrea.
