A few years ago I hired Dan Curtis Plumbing to repair/replace heating/ac unit. During the time his crew were in my home a large amount of my jewelry was stolen.

I contacted Dan Curtis immediately, telling him of the problem. He assured me he "would make things right". I reported theft to the police and after an inquiry it turned out that TWO of the men working in my home had criminal records...one had charges of receiving stolen property, grand theft and robbery. The other had 2 charges of robbery.

I even hired an attorney but "the boss" changed his tune, and decided to blame it on family members staying with me at that time. The jewelry was never recovered or found.

Red flag......this is not an honest person.

Watch Out For This Guy! Our air conditioner stopped working and we called Dan. He was responsive and courteous and sent his guy Mike out, who was on time. Then he left with wires hanging out of air conditioner and nothing operating. I then heard fromo Dan who said the problem was with the air conditioner unit itself and that we must replace the air conditioner and it would be about $7500.

The air conditioner is getting old but worked fine. His diagnosis sounded suspicious; based on the circumstances it appeared to be a problem with the thermostat or worst case the transformer. We felt this because the furnace didn't work either and the air conditioner t and furnace shared only the thermostat and transformer. I asked for an explanation from Dan and just kept getting "well it all works together". I declined Dan Curtis' offer to put in a new air conditioner and called another company. They came right out, diagnosed a failed transformer, replaced in in minutes and the bill was under $250. You have been warned about Dan Curtis!
