American Home Shield (AHS) was billed on 6-14-13, All-Intercity Plumbing invoice #405297, the following costs; E.Q. Straps $125.00 ($15.97 @ Home Depot), Pan & Line $125.00 ($17.98 @ Home Depot) and Haul-away $50.00 (Free). I called AHS and complained about the extortion which I was being subjected to and cancelled the repair by All-Intercity Plumbing. AHS cost $520.00, Customer (Modifications) cost of $770.00 (parts were about $78.00 @ Home Depot). This is legalized stealing and CRIMINAL behavior by any other name. I emailed and called All-Intercity about these outrageous overcharges and you guessed it, they NEVER returned my calls or emails. Go figure.

The review below about the water softener is exacly what happened to us, and the home warranty co. was AHS! After 4 hours of trying to get to the Auth. Dept. they set up a local plumbing co. for a second opinion. He took one look at the unit and User Manual, titled Waterboss Water Softener, and called them. They had to replace the unit, which is why they didnt want it to be a genuine Softener. My son is pretty sure AHS sends them to find a way to disqualify it for coverage, and pay them to do so! In addition, they broke my by-pass and water was going into the tank and out just as fast thru over flow! They told me the by-pass was engaged! Then they practically ran to their truck to leave! I When I called and complained, a very nasty young girl said, "they're not coming back because AHS will not pay them to repair it"! They broke the valve. It was fine before because I had to use it two nites earlier when I discovered it was not operating properly. This company is a scam!

Wow! If you want poor service and to be ripped off call these people. I made a claim through my home warranty expecting great service as always. This tech came in and jiggled the bath faucet I needed replaced before informing me that hew was going to call and make sure that he would be able to complete the repair. He stated that because I turned off the water and loosened the faucet that he was not able to complete the repair and that it is not covered under my home warranty. As soon as he got of the phone with my home warranty he offered to install a faucet for $250 and he still wanted me to pay him the $75 service fee. I was not home and he talked my wife into giving him a check for doing nothing.

Beyond bad.....total amateurs. My home warranty covers my water softener for repair or replacement. It took 3 amateurs to figure out that it was a softener. The 1st 2 amateurs took pictures and called it a reverse osmosis system but wrote on the receipt that the water softener needed repair. The next clown called it a water treatment device and presented that definition to AHS. Mr. Barrett is now dodging phone calls but soon he will be receiving court papers for retrieval of the 100.00 I was bilked out of for 3 amateurs to stay employed.

Dishonest

These guys smashed into the cement column at the end of my driveway and broke it off. The owner originally agreed to reimburse me the $500 it cost to fix it. But he dragged it out and dragged it out. I called and called. After the statute of limitations ran, he refused to pay. VERY dishonest and unethical. The work had problems too.
