Our family was delighted with our experience at Select Specialty in Lake Worth. From our first encounter with Rachel, Dawn the Case Worker, the nurses, the security guard, the food, and especially our nurse Dawn who was so very helpful with our discharge and future plan. They took very good care of my husband; if fact he was sad to leave!

Very please with this hospital. Staff was helpful and a lot of the same doctors were able to see her that were caring for her at JFK.

Very happy with the care here. My mom made it out and to a skilled nursing home. Thank you for caring for my mom.

Take your loved ones and RUN far away from this hell hole! If any of the Nurse Practioners Avis or Monica are working on your loved one be prepared for death as your final outcome. These people should have their lisence revoked from them and be terminated. This facility is staffed with nothing but licensed murders. The nurses there are unqualified, unprofessional with minimal to NO EXPERIENCE! Your loved ones are nothing but guinea pigs for these people to practice and gain experience on. The malpractice and neglegance was witnessed before my eyes everyday. It's sicken knowing a place like this can exist and what these monsters can get away with. DO NOT, I REPEAT DO NOT SEND ANYONE YOU LOVE OR CARE ABOUT TO THIS PLACE. It will be your WORST NIGHTMARE COME TRUE.

My wife was in the ICU at Delray Medical Center for almost 30 days in November-December of 2015. When it was time to discharge her to a long-term acute care hospital, we looked at Select Specialty Care in Lake Worth and Kindred in Riviera Beach, FL. Her pulmonologist, who worked at Delray Medical Center and was previously on staff at select, warned us against Select, saying the care was terrible and he would never send anyone there. He also said he left Select due to poor conditions and lack of care there. But, since we only had two feasible options, we toured Select anyway.

A few days after our tour, Select was to send out an admissions director, Rachel, to see my wife in the ICU, review her chart, and meet with me. She called me and set up a visit at 1pm. I waited all day for her, and at 4:30 I finally called Select and left a message for the CEO, Mr. Melby, and no one called me back. Rachel never showed up and never returned my calls either.

The next day, as I was visiting my wife in the ICU again, I saw someone from Select speaking with another family. I looked at her nametag, and lo and behold, it was Rachel. After her meeting, I asked her why she failed to show up or return my calls the previous day after confirming a time, and her response was "that's just how it is." I didn't understand her response so I pressed her, and she offered no further explanation or apology. When I got annoyed and told her I'd be making sure the family she was soliciting didn't choose Select, she responded, "it's a free country."

I don't understand the hostility at a time when professionals should be showing compassion. We chose Kindred, obviously, and were very happy with our experience. Kindred was compassionate and provided great care for my wife.

I found Select to be uncaring, unprofessional, and downright rude, and would not recommend them to anyone.
