Provided by YP.comI do not share"good experience"others claim to have.Took my boy here on a high rec by coworker. My furbaby had been urinating brown/blood x1 day&I called, made an appt. They had me wait an extra day.My concern was he had cancer. We saw"Dr.Dave"I made it very clear my furbaby history, what last 3days consist of.I was told multiple times"he looks fine to me""he doesn't look like he has cancer""if hes eating that's good, hes fine"I asked 10x please is this cancer, what tests can be done,I dont want him to suffer.Again I was told labs would be done& he would call me in 2days w/results.I was given nausea meds&antibiotics.Monday I was td he only had acute pancreatitis&keep feeding him.He then said I need to sch my dog to have surgery for"embedded foreign body"in his side.5 days he was not any better.I called office, was told to continue giving antibiotics as that's what Dr.Dave ordered. I was told to come purchase additional 2wks of antibiotics costing another $100.15min office visit I was charged $622!Visit w/Dr.Dave less then that.My dog was taken to"the back"to be examined& brought back &that's it.8 days after my visit w/Dr.Dave I woke up my furbaby dead.took him to vet in Long Beach, had a necropsy done&was told my baby died from cancer!A tumor the size of fist on his spleen, that ruptured his spleen&my baby bled out!I was told the labs Dr.Dave completed would have shown some signs.I asked about"foreign body"that he insisted I sch surgery to have removed.I was told nothing was there! He squeezed the side of my boy, left red/purple Mark's for nothing! He also said he was obtaining a culture, never got any results!I'm beyond hurt, upset and feel extremely scammed out of $622.Multiple times I was told it's not cancer.Just a UTI.He disguises me!If he didn't know, say you dont know!$600at another vet 2 hrs away to find out my boy had cancer&have him cremated.Your"awards"are meaningless in your lobby! You preyed on the love I have for my pet&used that to make some money. That is inhumane!

Provided by YPmobileAs always, Dr. Nyholt and his great staff took wonderful care of my little dachshunds today. He called once he was finished working on them to update me on their progress. My own "human" doctor doesn't always do that! I wouldn't trust "my little ladies" to anyone else. Thank you, Dr. Nyholt and staff

Provided by YP.comWhile the vets are very nice, there's just something not right when they SPAY/NEUTER animals. I have rescued cats. Two of my female cats were spayed there, and it looked horrendous. Never have I seen someone do such a butcher job. One was so bad that we took photos in case it got worse and something happened to the cat.
Recently I had a male cat neutered. His whole genitalia was caked in blood when I got him back! After wearing the safety cone for 10 days, he cleaned himself, but now he has a scab back there that bleeds sometimes. I've called to inquire but the doctor isn't in yet, so this cat is definitely on his way to a new animal hospital.
I recommend this hospital for minor things (vaccinations, and such), but I DO NOT RECOMMEND them for surgeries like spaying/neutering~ they do a butcher job.

Provided by YP.comThis was the worst experience we have ever had with a vet; I strongly recommend going somewhere else if you care at all about your pet and their wellbeing. My wife brought our 8 week old guinea pig in to be looked at after we had a concern of a possible fungal infection close to his eye; we researched online and found it would be best to bring him to a vet to properly identify the issue. First, Dr. Dave thought he was a Chinchilla, the only similarity was color; our little guy is gray but looks just like a guinea pig, small ears, no tail and all. To be a “qualified” guinea pig vet, his ignorance was appalling. Second, before even inspecting his eye he took a razor knife and scrapped a few layers of skin off around his eye, causing him to scream and bleed excessively, he then yelled at our little guy for squirming. He handled the little guy roughly and had no patience or compassion. Third, my wife asked if he could show her how to trim his nails properly, he picked him up and attempted to trim his nails, then said it didn’t need to be done; but charged us for it anyway. Forth, after his inspection he still didn’t know what was wrong with our little guy, if anything, but still insisted we buy a $33 medication which would treat both mites and fungus. Finally she left the place very upset and had to pay $99.50 for his bad and cruel service not knowing anything more about our little guy’s condition than she did when she got there. This was the worst experience ever with a vet and we will NEVER return.

Provided by YP.comI first meet Dr. Nyholt and the staff of Antelope Valley Animal Hospital in the unfortunate case of my friends dog was hit by a car. Dr. Nyholt and the staff took excellent care of him. I next had the opportunity to interact with the staff when my friends other dog had a run in with her little friend and he opened up her eye brow. Nyholt and the staff did an excellent job with her. She has had to see him twice for different things. Both times she has taken very good care of. Recently I had a sick little kitten that Dr. Greg took very care of. Sadly she passed, but NOT by anything that was done there. She passed from natural causes (disease). In her final hours she was treated very well and in a very caring manner. Everything that could have been for her was. Dr. Greg did an excellent job. I would recommend AVAH to everyone that I know and everyone who needs any animal care. On top of the excellent animal care, AVAH is very accomidating to their clients. THIS IS AN EXCELLENT CHOICE FOR VETERNARY CARE IN THE AV. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

Provided by YP.comThis is an amazing clinic and all the staff show they care about the Boston Terrier we love as part of our family. I wish we had found them when we first got "Kimi".
