Children's Bureau offers a wide range of child abuse prevention and treatment services aimed at strengthening families and communities throughout Southern California. Its programs focuses on parents with kids up to 12 years, offering in-home and center-based counseling, child and parent development, health, child and parent education groups, tutoring and reading programs, and community resource referrals. Its foster care and adoption program provides little ones a safe and nurturing place to live. Children's Bureau in partnership with the Los Angeles Department of Children and Family Services, executes the Targeted Recruitment Project that focuses on finding adoptive families for older, children, as well as brothers and sisters trying to stay together. The center also offers prevention programs towards helping parents with children newborn through age three. It provides parents the knowledge and support they need, and prevention form child abuse.
