Located in Monmouth, Maine, Kippewa is a summer camp program for girls. The camp provides a wide range of programs related to social, artistic and athletic skills. The programs include fine arts like painting, drawing and photography; hands-on instructions in pottery, needlecrafts, knitting, textile arts, silk-screening, leather craft, jewelry making, and woodworking and stained glass. The programs also include dancing and theatre programs. Kippewa also offers a wide variety of waterfront activities like sailing, waterskiing, windsurfing, canoeing, kayaking and land sports like softball, soccer, lacrosse, beach volleyball, field hockey, tennis, gymnastics and archery. The program also includes ocean sailing trips, salt water beach days, wilderness hikes, canoe trips at the Maine coast and remote lakes and trips to the Great North Woods Mountains. The camp is accredited by the American Camp Association.
