The Advocate Christ Outpatient Center in Palos Heights is home to several specialty center for both adults and children. A comprehensive acute inpatient adult rehabilitation program is coordinated by a multidisciplinary team of medical and clinical professionals designed to maximize functional independence and reintegration in to the community. Outpatient treatment is provided for various conditions-from sports injuries and back problems to chronic pain and arthritis. The pediatric rehabilitation team helps children regain their childhood playfulness, resume their life outside the hospital, and return to school, as appropriate. The outpatient program provides comprehensive assessments and coordinates treatment programs to address physical disabilities, orthopedic injuries, developmental delays, communication and speech disorders, feeding/swallowing difficulties, sensory integration, and fine motor coordination. The Center for Hearing serves patients from infant to adult. It provides comprehensive evaluations, screening and tests with a certified and licensed audiologist who will then determine the best device for the patient's needs. The Sleep Disorders Center helps both children and adults return to a normal, productive lifestyle through diagnosis and treatment of sleep disorders. The center follows the guidelines of the American Sleep Disorders Association and has a team of experienced, knowledgeable professionals who will work with you to evaluate your situation.
