About Amavida Coffee and Tea: Amavida Coffee and Tea is an importer, roaster, and purveyor of Organic and Fair Trade specialty coffees. Amavida operates multiple cafes in the Florida Panhandle, and maintains a thriving coffee roaster and wholesale operation that focuses on providing the highest-quality Organic and Fair Trade coffees in the industry. Amavida is a member of Cooperative Coffees, a green coffee-importing cooperative comprised of 23 community-based roasters throughout the United States and Canada. Cooperative Coffees shares Amavida's vision to promote transparent Fair Trade and sustainable development alternatives, and believes that the Fair Trade movement goes beyond the importation of fairly traded coffee and products. Working together, Amavida and Coop Coffees promote fair buying practices and work to ensure that partnering farming communities are being properly cared for and educated. "Amavida" joins the Spanish words "amar" (to love) and "vida" (life). By using "love for life" as a guiding principle, Amavida conducts business with a strong ethical foundation and sense of fairness. Amavida's Organic and Fair Trade coffees are indispensible to the farmers who produce them, because they are guaranteed to receive a fair price for their product. In exchange for a fair price, the farmers practice high quality, eco-friendly farming that helps protect the environment and ensures exceptional products. Amavida is committed constantly seeking new ways to be an exemplary and friendly organization to their employees, customers, farmers, environment, suppliers, and community. Always striving to support sustainable practices and environmental stewardship, Amavida is a board member of On The Ground Global, a non-profit organization that coordinates community development and support projects in Mexico, Ethiopia, Palestine, and Congo.
