Tanis absolutely RUINED my wedding morning! I spent the entire morning on the phone arguing w/ her & completely missed my bridal brunch w/ 50 guests appauled by what was happening! Another reviewer mentioned how nearly IMPOSSIBLE it was to contact her & discuss the details...she is SPOT on. Not to mention the quality (or lack there of). We sent her a photo of exactly what we wanted...agreed on price...the she was MIA until the morning of my wedding. We discussed her arrival time, then she made sure to tell me to have the cash ready etc...well it was almost $200 MORE than what was originally quoted which sent me over the edge. A destination wedding is difficult, but there was NO excuse for her lack of professionalism nor for the unreal joke of a cake we received. She even had the audacity to ask for the bamboo which was part of the cake to be delivered BACK to her!! Our cake was NEON colors, icing was not smooth, it was no where NEAR square tiers, & honestly I think a "big box" store wouldve been embarrased to have presented it especially at the prices she charges. These people down there know they have you because your having a destination wedding...they don't have to worry about providing good services because hey, you don't live there...what are you gonna do? Unfortunately we found this to be the case w/ many of the vendors in the area. We even had a planner...she spoke w/ Tanis but it didn't do much good. I assume all of these people know each other & have their backs so at the very least, if you are looking for a cake for your special day, please take it from me...cake doesn't seem like such a big deal until your special day starts off the way mine did w/ her. Thankfully we had a beautiful wedding...thank goodness it was dark when we cut the cake!!

I ordered a three tiered beach wedding cake from Tanis for our wedding. Not only does it take FOREVER to get responses from Tanis while you are trying to coordinate your order, but the cake I ordered was absolutely terrible. She dropped it off at our location without letting anyone know. When I finally saw it, it was nothing like what I had expected. The shells around the tiers had already started to fall off before the ceremony even began. The fondant was not smoothed out, and the colors were nothing like what I had asked for. To make matters worse, she dropped off the cake with no topper!!! We ordered a beautiful sand dollar topper to match the rest of the cake, but she never made it! She delivered the cake completely bare and my poor maid of honor had to fabricate a topper just one hour before the ceremony began! When I tried to call the number Tanis left, she never picked up, and claimed through e-mail several days later that no one ever called her. She did not feel any remorse what-so-ever for ruining our wedding cake experience. And it DEFINITELY wasn't worth the $450 she charged for it! I DO NOT recommend using her service unless you enjoy disappointment....

Whatever the occasion may be, Tanis never let's me down!!
