If you have a sore throat and she takes your insurance, you'll probably be OK. I made an appt. for my husband, who has hypertension and has had a coronary bypass. We waited a month for the appointment, not a problem since we were new in town. They were literally not able to take an accurate blood pressure, kind of a problem, also Dr. Shaffer does not prescribe the low-dose anti-anxiety med my husband takes and has a very judgmental attitude about these meds. Made my husband feel very self conscious and uncomfortable. Would have been nice to know when I called in for the appt :(. Wasted a month and more!! Not a caring provider!

multiple consults. doesn't follow consulting physicians recommendations. pleasANT BUT NOT SURE OF SELF. SEEMS TO DO HER OWN THING SIX WEEKS LATER I AM NO BETTER.

I see Dr. Shaffer and find her to be competent at her job with an excellent bedside manner. I would and do recommend her to other people.
