Provided by YP.comGreat place! So helpful, and kind! Being a woman, I get told the most ridiculous stuff by mechanics sometimes. They have been the complete opposite! Josh is friendly and more than willing to help, and explain everything. I will keep going back :)

Provided by YP.comTotal rip off, they ruined my car and told me it was my problem and to just deal with it. The guy up front told me to just bring my car over to his own shop.

Provided by YP.comI went to a Panama City new car dealer to have my malfuncting air conditioner checked. They said my problem was compressor failure and wanted about $1,850.00 for the repair. Charged me $95.00 for the check. I took it to Mad Hatter for a second opinion. In about an hour they called and said I had a bad relay. They located a new one and in about another hour and 1/2 they called again for me to pick up the completed repair. I saved $1700 and was very pleased with the service they provided.

Provided by YP.comThe GOOD, the BAD and the UGLY.
The 'BAD": I left Winn Dixie supermarket (Rt.77 Lynn Haven, Fl.) on 03/08/11.
I had just cashed my social security check and purchased $187.92 groceries. Put them in the trunk, drove over a speed bump and dislodged my muffler.
The "UGLY": The Panama City police pulled me over for a "loud exhaust". I explained to the extremely RUDE officer that I had damaged my exhaust, minutes prior to being pulled over and that I was going to the muffler shop for repair. He stated "do you know how many times I hear this excuse"? I told him to follow me if he did not believe me, which he did. He once again pulled me over at 23rd. St and Lisenby, stating that I had just passed numerous muffler shops. I told him I was going to Mad Hatter due to positive previous experience. I stated I would not take it anyplace else. He stated that a "muffler shop is a muffler shop" AND that "they were all just a bunch of simple minded grease monkeys, no matter where you go". He was going to write me a citation. I told him to follow me and see that I was indeed going there. He agreed.
The "GOOD": I pulled my car into the Mad Hatter shop on 23rd. st. I was immediately and professionally greeted and my car was placed on the rack within 3 minutes. The repair was completed to perfection with no "hassles" or "pressure" to have more work done. They were extremely efficient, friendly, informative, professional and inexpensive. I was delighted to be on my way home with the "perishables" which I had just purchased. "HAT'S OFF TO MADDHATTER"!!!!
I was on my way in less than 15 minutes!!!
Upon leaving the shop the SAME officer pulled me over again, He told me to "rev the engine". Which I did. He "smirked" and said "Well you do know that your passenger mirror has a crack in it". Upon inspection there was indeed a 1/2 inch crack in the mirror. He then warned me to get it fixed ASAP. I left the scene and got my groceries home in time to prevent spoilage. Thank you, to the crew at Mad Hatter on 23rd. St, Panama City, Florida! Thank you! Dr. Timothy C. PhD

Provided by YP.comOutstanding work. Great service. Here on Spring Break with the kids. The owner actually took us on a ride to old St. Andrews, gave us tips on good restraunts. Went far beyond what you expect from an auto repair place. These guys are great!

Provided by YP.comI've been coming to Panama City since 1972. I've grown to know the staff here over the years and look forward to seeing them each year. This year was no exception. I overheated on the beach. I took my car to the Mad Hatter on the beach and was quickly told they were not part of the Mad Hatters in town. I asked if they could take care of me (I was overheating in their parking lot). They told me I had to make an appointment! I think they were mad because I told them how I liked the guys in town. I eventually got my car to this one and as always, they took care of me quickly and with top level professionalism. Here's the place you need to go have your car fixed.
