Looks like I am not the only o...

Looks like I am not the only one complaining about them!

When going into the Paoli Del Chevy I was happy that they helped me get a loan for my 06 chevy equinox because of there special finance people they have working there. I called on a friday to let them know I was ready to make the purchase, Christian told me to come at 2pm and my car would be ready, WRONG! My car was not detailed or even started when I got there, neither was any of my paper work. Upon sitting there for two hours I was given the keys with an undetailed vehicle, they told me to bring it back to get it done next week. I brought it back and sat for 2 hours and waited to get my car detailed when I got it back they only did the outside then I had to sit another 2 hours and wait for the inside. One hour after leaving the dealership my check engine light came on, I called immediately and spoke with Mike who told me to bring it in and it was probably my gas cap. I brought it back they replaced the gas cap after leaving again the light came back on, I then took it to pep boys where I was told it was the O2 sensor or a vacuum seal. I took it back to Del for further evaluation where they told me they fixed it, WRONG!! The light came on again 3 hours after I left. Took it to pep boys for the second time where they found a plastic lid under my hood and a hose completely off my engine. A tech who makes triple what a tech at pep boys makes couldnt figure that out? He should be fired! I then let them know of this issue. Before I bought the vehicle I complained about the tires but Chuck, my sales man said, well they passed inspection. Let me just say my tires BARELY passed inspection. My first oil change was at 4000 miles at the west chester firestone, after the oil change was finished the tech came out and told me my air filter was bad and needed to be replaced and that my brake fluid failed miserably and also needed to be replaced. I informed him that I just bought the car 4000 miles prior, he told me that these things should have been done before I drove the car off the lot. So, a basic oil change cost 130$ instead of 30$ because Del didn't replace the simple things that should of been replaced. Now buying a 15000$ car in first month I am looking at spending 700$ with the cost of tires, an air filter and to replace the brake fluid. That is BS. Del should do a little bit for there customers and not rip people off just because they know they can't get financing anywhere. I am also looking into getting a hold of penndot because allowing a car to leave the lot with bad brake fluid is illegal because its not able to pass an inspection, I am hoping they get a fine of some sort. I would recommend them to anyone which I already made the mistake of doing with my girlfriend and her husband who bought a minivan and a durango there. From what Chuck told me the durango wasn't even able to be sold to them because it was a totaled car or something, he said they can get into a lot of trouble. Wow, a car dealership doing illegal things. I think I will let penndot know that as well..If you are looking to buy a chevy go else where.

While I have dreaded going to car dealers in the past, this time was a new revelation. The experience was one of relaxed question and answer discussions and a quick arrival at a more than satisfactory deal. I would rate this as the all time high in car buying in the nearly 50 years that I have been purchasing automobiles! Thank you.

My car broke down on I-476 at 0500 on the way to the airport, and was towed in. Not a great way to start the day or a business trip. While out of town on my business trip, I worked via phone with Del's Service Advisor, Joe Holbrook. Joe was candid, thorough, and fully explained the diagnostics performed, the nature of the malfunction (which was rather serious), and alternate approaches to repairing, with a recommended best value solution. Joe's thorough explanation allowed me to make an informed decision (from 1000+ miles away). I went with Joe's recommendation, and the result was a fully repaired, tested, well running vehicle (better than before the breakdown). Del's approach has given me the confidence that the repair was correct, thorough, and reliable. Overall, an excellent value. Thank you very much.

Del's service center is a waste of time

I took my Chevy in for a warranty issue and camber repair. The warranty issue was a service bulletin on the car's windshield air vent according to another Chevy dealer. The air vent does not deliver hot air when the car is started, which defeats the purpose of warming up the car in the winter to melt ice off of the windshield. I took the car to Del because it is closer to my work.
The dealership took forever to finish the car and did not even fix the problem. We were later told by the other dealership that the service bulletin issue couldn't be fixed by just reprogramming the car's computer, which is what Del did. They didn't even check to make sure that the problem was fixed before they gave me back the car.

As for the cambers, they needed to be adjusted on the car. When I dropped off the car and told them about this, they didn't even know what a camber is.

If Del had read the service bulletin issue, they would have known that extra work needed to be done to fix the air vent issue. We were told by the other dealership that this would involve taking apart the vents because there is a leak in the vents that is causing cold air to leak in. Del didn't want to take the time repair this and gave us a quick fix of reprogramming the computer. I was still a customer who should have received appropriate attention even if I only had a warranty repair that didn't involve me having to pay Del anything.

The whole experience with Del was a waste of time.

Buying a new car from Del has hands down been the easiest and greatest experience I've had yet. The sales team is the nicest and non pushy. They explained everything so well and found the perfect match suv for me. I will tell everyone I know and blast social media of Del Chevys excellence!
