The Franciscan Renewal Center (also known as “The Casa”) is a spiritual oasis for renewal, rest, and prayer that is open to everyone, regardless of faith. It was founded as a Catholic retreat center, called Casa de Paz y Bien (the Casa), by the Order of Friars Minor in 1951. It remains an active religious community that seeks to follow in the footsteps of Saints Francis and Clare of Assisi. The Casa is a sponsored ministry of the Province of St. Barbara and works cooperatively with the Diocese of Phoenix.
