First Federal Community Bank began when a group of local businessmen came together in May of 1922 to form Paris Building and Loan Association. The original mission of the organization was to lend money for building, improving and paying debts on homesteads and to lend money to members of the association. Originally organized as a state-chartered stock company, the association converted to the federal mutual form of ownership in 1934 and remains that way today. The bank provides customers with a number of loan products, such as fixed and adjustable rate, home improvement, home equity, consumer and commercial loans. Deposit services include checking and savings accounts, money market accounts, certificates of deposit, individual retirement accounts, travelers checks, wire transfer and debit cards. First Federal Community Bank maintains locations in Paris, Mount Pleasant and Clarksville, Texas.
