I went to sell some jewelry there. Bill, one of the owners, helped me. He said a lot of negative things about his wife and his pending divorce. He got my number off my receipt and started texting me. He made it very clear that he was interested in me, on a personal level. The other owners tried to push him on me as well by telling me that his divorce would be final soon. Very unprofessional.

After they mounted the stone and brought it out.. my fiance' placed the ring on my finger... and the whole store broke into applause and the guys all gave me a hug...... It was almost as good as when he proposed to me on the beach at sunset the month before!

changing cost

I took my husband's watch in for a special battery. They told me they had to send it to Seiko to have it done. Said it would cost about $35.00. A month later they said they did not have a quote yet. I had to keep callilng on an update. Then the quote over the phone was $60.00. When I came in to pick it they rang it up as $80.00. They cut me a $10.00 discount because I would not pay $80.00 Big difference from the $35.00 I was originally told......

DO NOT HAVE YOUR JEWELRY REPAIRED AT APEX

FACT- I brought in the pearl and the post earring the pearl was detached from; I requested the repairFACT- The earring I picked up had a different pearl attached to the post than the one I brought in--different color and different size. FACT- When I brought in the matching earring, the counter help acknowledged the repair had a different pearlFACT- Offered to repair with the original pair (why wasn't this done to begin with? where was the original being stored?)FACT- The repair was completed---but was it the original pearl or one that was a very good match (since they had the matching earring)?When asked what happened--no explanation! Extremely rude! Simply said, "I don't know what you want me to say..."WHAT IF THIS HAD BEEN A DIAMOND? WOULD APEX SWITCH A DIAMOND? I'M THINKING YES SINCE THEY SWITCHED A PEARL!!!! iF YOU VALUE YOUR JEWLRY, TAKE IT SOMEWHERE ELSE FOR REPAIR!!!

A+ In my book

I designed a mans ring for my husband. Royce helped with details I would not have known to consider. I did have a budget in mind so Royce was able to use stones I already owned and for a very reasonable price sold me the biggest stone I wanted for the ring. When I was called to come in to pick up the ring, I couldn't believe how beautiful the ring turned out. I was also given an appraisal from APEX for insurance purposes without charge. Very happy customer. As a matter of fact I'm getting ready to have Royce make me another beautiful piece of jewelry, only this time it will be for me, a family keepsake.

HORRID

Took an antique clock in August 2010, got it back today January, three nicks on top of marble. Aileen Rogers, at the counter, told me to "FILL IT IN WITH CRAYON". This clock was my grandmother, to my father then me. Was around many years before APEX totally ruined it!!!!!!!!!!! I was suspicious of the time and kept calling their clock man - no return calls, then APEX - no return calls. The nicks are very fresh - you can see the wood is fresh not old. Bill Rogers told me to pay for it, take it home and the clock man would call me (like he did for those 6 months). They were very rude, ruining an antique and then telling me it's not their fault, but not coming up to the plate with a fullfilling answer - how are they in business!!!! I even had to pay them to take my ruined clock home !!!!! My suggestion - don't bring anything there to be repaired nor buy anything from them.

Satisfaction Guaranteed 4 1/2 stars

I have always used Apex for my repairs and have purchased several rings there. You may wonder why their prices are not like the big box jewelry stores....it is because they have quality custom jewelry. I have several rings that I bought at the big box mall jewelry stores and within a few years the gold has cracked because the bands are so thin. I have two rings that I purchased at Apex and they look brand new. I had my wedding set remounted and they did a marvelous job. They took care to make sure it was done right. I have decided to take my old gold to them for pricing and I know I won't be disappointed. I don't give any business 5 stars when I rate them because there is always room for improvement. But 4 1/2 stars it is!!

Completely Incompetant

I took my wedding band and engagement ring into this store to get one ring resized and then have them soldered together because they are a set. The right size is a 7, which the wedding band already was. They resized my engagement ring from a 7.5 to a 6.5 instead of a 7. I have the paper they gave mr when I dropped them off and it clearly states they are supposed to be a 7. So now they also soldered them together wrong. They are not fit together right. Before they messed it up you could hold the rings together and they were a perfect fit and touched eachother perfectly. Now I would not describe them as fitting together and there are spaces in between the rings when there aren't supposed to be. On top of all this it took them longer to do the work than they promisede. When I went by and asked why they were not finished they said they had decided to rearrange all of their display cases instead of getting my ring done on time. Apex You are Wonderful!!!!! BBB gives you an "A" rating. No surprise

I know this store well. Not even so much the store itself but the owners I can say that I do know. I personnaly never have known one of the owners to try and rip anyone off. Not to say that one of the other employees that did work there didn't have His own aggenda(Mark G). So if you see a new jewelry store opening up close to 10 miles away from Apex, stay clear. You with the complaint about the 2K ring that was alot for you but you still bought, Custom work is expensive and gold value isn't high on a used ring. Figure it out. You complaing about Apex is rude and clueless,I'd say you would be clueless. You didn't even go into Apex it was your friend. And would you rather take your damaged rings to a company that has no business.NO you wouldn't so stop crying about someone who cared enough about your ring to fix it right. Apex, You're amazing and Never mind the douschers crying. IT's more than likely the lying,stealing and cheating employee you had to fire. A revenge thing if you will.

I bought a ring from APEX a few years ago. I spent ~$2K (which was a lot for me at the time). My wife and I just celebrated our 20th so I went back to APEX to upgrade to a full carat. The nice folks at APEX told me they would give me $250 bucks for the same ring they charged me $2K for. I later found out from another store that the diamond had a major flaw. Thanks Apex. You tried to con me twice but we will never buy from you again.

Clueless and Rude

To say Apex is rude and clueless is an understatement. My friend had a bad experience with them and told me to stay away, but I was stupid and didn't listen. I was interested in a custom ring. After trying to work with Apex for well over a week, I gave up on them. I don't know how such an incompetent bunch has been able to stay in business for more than a week.

After another week and a half, I called and was told Apex had no record of my ring. After 3 calls with the owner stalling and telling me stories, he found and fixed the ring (only a month late). When I picked it up, he charged full price and didn't even apologize. I said a discount was in order after more than a month. He just said "the work was done." PATHETIC SERVICE. I wish I had checked other review sites first - Apex is loaded with 1-star ratings. STAY AWAY.

Honesty & Integrity

I took my wedding set to be re-pronged at Apex. They found a large fracture in my diamond and were very upfront about the possibility of it completely breaking during the pronging process. I could tell they cared deeply about the sentimental value of my set and they took the time and expertise to beautifully "fix" my setting. They delivered my rings, with the diamond completely intact, on time and with the personal touch I have never experienced at a mall jewelers or other BIG jewelry stores.
