Provided by YP.comI went to this salon to get my hair braided the braids looked great but hurt like nobodies business. At the time when I was getting the braids done I told the sytlist that she was braiding too tight she said "sorry" but continued the process, with each new braide I would say can you do it looser and she would say "sorry". Once my hair was done I felt lile I had had a facelift, my scalp became very RED and I felt as if I was being stabbed in my head with needles. I called the salon for help and was told that everyones scalp reacts differently to the process which I could understand I asked for my scalp to be looked at by the owner she told me that she would not be available and that I should give the braids more time. Time for what more hair loss...SMH I WILL NOT BE RETURNING TO THIS SALON AGAIN AND BE WARE OF GOING THERE YOURSELF TOO TIGHT BRAIDS DAMAGE YOUR HAIR!!!!!!

Provided by YP.comI've gone to Mimi's twice and both times I told myself it was the last time. First time I got cornrows and thought it was a mediocre job. Just as another reviewer commented on, the next day after getting single twists done, after my second visit, they started falling out. By week's end I was waking up with twists on my pillowcase. I was not happy at all. I will not go here again.

Provided by YPmobileI recently went to this place to get my hair braided, I have been going to this shop for years, but had not been in a while. I arrived only to find out that the shop was under new management since the last time I had been there, but I decided to go ahead and get my hair done. When the ladies finished I was happy with the way my hair looked. The next day one braid fell out, but it wasn't really a big deal to me because it was only one. The next day a few more fell out, and over the next couple days more and more fell out. My work schedule is so hectic that I didn't have time to go back up to the shop right away to have it fixed, but called to inform the manager what happened and made an appointment to come back in once I had a day free. A week after getting my hair braided I went back to have it fixed because THE ENTIRE BACK SECTION HAD FALLEN OUT! I couldn't even put the braids up in a pony tail it was so bad! When I got to the shop to have it fixed I knocked and knocked and called and called and nobody answered the door or the phone. The next day I called and the owner told me it was too late to have my hair fixed and insisted that she was waiting for me the day before and I never showed up. I will never go back to this place, and if you want your braids to last you may not want to either.
