Provided by YP.comMy visit to Linden Optometry was completely dreadful and a big waste of time. I went there because they were opened on a Sunday. I had a 1pm appointment and it took an hour an a half to been seen. I was passed from one person to the next and so forth. They have an assembly line set up and the way they run their practice is very inefficient. We were there a total of 3 hours and I walked out feeling like they didn't do anything for me and I had to return for a follow-up. For my follow-up, my appointment was at 11am, so I decided to arrive twenty minutes early. We waited almost an hour an a half before they called me. The follow-up was only suppsed to take fifteen minutes. I was wearing a trial pair of contacts and the doctor wanted me to switch the one I was wearing on my left eye to a different prescription. It took only two minutes to switch out my contact and to my surprise the doctor that i was working with took another patient so I had to wait for another doctor who had to look at my chart all over again. When I switch the contact on my left eye, my vision was blurred, yet that doctor asked me to try them out and return in a few days. I was so irrate and how could he send me off if I couldn't see as well. I asked for the doctor who had originally seen me ten minutes before which I had to wait since he was with another patient. I was so upset by this time that I asked for my original prescription. I didn't want to waste any more time there going in circles.
I was going to have my prescription filled but they asked for the funds upfront and they would reimburse me once my insurance paid them. Also, they charged me 75 dollars along with a 10 dollar copay for my follow-up exam which in eight years I have never had to pay for a follow-up and also I was not aware I was going to have to pay additional money. (they call it a fit exam which insurance companies do not cover)
On their website they claim to provide clients with quality care and take pride in their level of customer service and they do the complete opposite. It feels like they are running a business and see clients as dollars signs rather than try to treat each client with the care and attention they deserve in an appropriate amount of time. Customers come out cursing and upset. I left saying, "I hate this place." I will never return nor will I ever refer a patient.

Provided by YP.comThe worst service. I paid whatever the lady told me then after a month i received a voice message that the amount i paid does not cover my transition lens and i have to pay 76$ more. I called back and always she was busy to talk to me and that she will call me back. Of course she never did. Finally she called after 2 weeks and told em me about the payment. I told her that not what we agree on. I already paid you the bill on site. She said that a supervisor will call me back and for 2 weeks i am still waiting.
If you are not familiar with the place usually they let you pay in advance for all the services and then you come and pick the glasses up. So, to be hit by additional charges is not the norm. My guess is the lady did not her math right and she wanted me to pay for her mistake. this amount was beyond my budget and i refuse to pay. So, I am waiting for the manager to call me back.!!!!!
stay away, it is more then a meat factory than a professional place.
Never again. Ia m changing optometrist next year.

Provided by YP.comI made a phone call to check up on some frames that I had dropped off. The first person ask for my information then ask do I remember the name of the person I dropped my frames off with??? They have a huge staff and I'm not even sure if the person told me their name. I inform them that it's the same person that I picked up a different set of frames from, I did an exchange at the time I was picking some up, so don't you have a record of when I came in and picked up my frames. They put me on hold for five minutes, some one comes on I explain the same thing and this time I'm on hold for 25 minutes!!!!!!
I call back and ask to speak with a manager again I'm put on hold for another 5 minutes before I hang up.
I can't believe how unprofessional or how you can think that's is OK to have customers on hold that long and not at least come on to say we'll be with you in a second or anything.
THIS WILL BE THE LAST TIME THEY GET MY BUSINESS!!!!

Provided by YP.comThey have wide variety of frames and lenses to choose from and the quality is excellent. The people are very helpful, knowledgeable and pleasant to deal with. I do get a lot of mailers from them time to time, which is a good reminder to have my vision checked.

Provided by YP.comI've been happy with Linden's services since 1962. When was the last time you didn't have to wait at least half an hour after your nominal appointment time to see ANY doctor? Expect delay, bring a book. Best prices in town -- only cheaper in Mexico. Fitting contacts can be very difficult if you have weird eyes like mine, and it's not the doc's fault.

Provided by YP.comI like Linden Optometrist because the doctors are very friendly and very patient. They always answer my questions and do not rush the exam. You can't place a price on good medical care. I was surprised that their eye exam was much more thorough than my last optometrist (out of state) but did not cost nearly as much.
The office is very very spacious, with lots of display areas for eyeglasses frames. Quite a variety of frames to choose.
Good parking in the back, good hours (open 7 days).
They do get crowded on weekends, but I discovered that if I come in first thing on Sat or Sunday morning there is virtually no wait.

Provided by YP.comthe actual eye exam office is like a factory - but the selection of eyewear is huge, quite possibly the best selection in the greater pasadena area.
the customer care isnt stellar, but your glasses get delivered quickly and they get the job done.
they can also place orders for frames that they dont have on display.

Provided by YP.comBEWARE - Only go here if you are found of lousy customer service, spending lots of time in the waiting area, being shuffled around like a cow off to slaughter, and getting ripped off. This place is the equivalent to visiting the DMW, except the DMV offers much better customer service. If you choose to ignore these words, just remember, you have been warned.
