Located in Pasadena, Calif., the Parks and Natural Resources Division plans, protects, maintains and enhances the city s parks, open spaces, natural parklands and urban forests. The division also provides for the preservation and management of resources. It maintains landscaped areas around city libraries and halls. In addition, the Parks and Natural Resources Division administers an urban forestry program that is responsible for planting new trees and conducting reforestation projects in parks, municipal grounds and open spaces. The division is a part of the Pasadena Department of Public Works, which operates through engineering, capital projects, and building systems and fleet management.
