Provided by YP.comWould give Zero stars if I could. I want to make public of a complaint I have at the Pasadena Pier 1 Imports store on Lake Ave.
I came to return a large framed print to the store. It costed $235 (plus tax). They did not have the money in the register to fulfill the return, so they told me to come back the next day around 2pm. I should mention the first manager was nice, and handled the issue professionally (Kiran H.). I come back the next day to a different manager under the name of Donna. It should be noted I was at the store at 3pm to allot for more time. Donna was rude in our exchange of conversation, and stated "why didn't you call in advance to tell you we don't have the money?!?". I was never told to call in by anyone, and was only told to come back in the next day after 2pm. She had stated she could give me a check, which would take two weeks, but I had stated if I had paid in cash, I would expect cash back for my return. She said she would call me back at the end of the day, but I never received a call back/call in return.
When I had not received the call, I called the store to ask for an update. I was put on hold twice, 10 minutes at a time. On the third time, the clerk who answered said the manager Donna (same individual) would call me back. I waited for another 45 minutes for the call, and when she did call back, she was very rude, and when I asked about the refund on the large framed print, she said, and I quote, "WE DONT HAVE THE MONEY! WHAT DO YOU WANT ME TO DO, ROB A BANK???". She shouted this response over the phone. She then told me to call back tomorrow, and speak to a different manager on this issue.
Mind you, I just want to have the simple issue of having a refund on a framed print I had purchased resolved. I have been a loyal customer of Pier 1 Imports for many years, and have never been treated so poorly by any staff member of that store before, or any store I've been to for that manner. I just want this issue rectified, and a note on Donna's file for how poorly she communicates/handles issues with the customers.
I felt so terrible after the exchanges, and the bad service provided by the manager Donna, I don't even (as a loyal customer) want to shop at the store anymore once this issue is resolved.
