Great BBQ. Excellent service

I just had dinner at Robins a few nights ago, and I was a bit disappointed. I ordered a combo plate - BBQ ribs (spareribs) and chicken and while the food was plentiful, the chicken was a bit undercooked and the ribs more tough than tender.



Service was a bit impersonal on this last visit too. The place was nearly empty on a Wednesday night, but our server wasn't at all "engaged" - he was just going through the motions.



I remember the quality being better here years ago. I'm sure to return again to give it another try, but I'll definitely ask for my chicken to be thoroughly cooked.

Good ribs for a great price. $30 garbage can combo can feed a family of 3.5! Get the ribs dry and load up on the 4 different sauces. The tri-tip and sausage are fantastic as well. Great sides incude the sizzlin' 'shrooms, blue cheese cole slaw and blueberry cornbread. Grab that basket of peanuts on your way in, it's time to grub!

I was lucky enough to work next to Robins, and we went there quite often for lunch. They have a few really great lunch specials, but it's even better for dinner when you can have a Shiner Bock with your baby backs. And try the Mad Dog sauce. Just a little bit of a kick, and great flavor.

This is one of my favorite restaurants in Pasadena. If you're looking for stellar BBQ, look no further. All portions are good and big!
