Provided by YP.comI wish you could give this place a 0 stars...
I had an accident and cut my left thumb, it was bleeding A LOT ,after 30mins so I decided to go to the NEAREST E.R. for care. Unfortunately it happen to be BAYSHORE HOSPITAL in Pasadena,Tx off of Spencer hey near Burke.... but they didn't care but they didn't care they didn't know my thumb they were HORRIBLY RUDE!!! I have insurance and was treated like CRAP!!!!. THE NURSE GLORIA WHO THEY PUT WITH ME no empathy no compassion she kept rolling her eyes everytime they kept bringing her a new chart this woman and this hospital should not be able to treat people like crap. One man / "doctor-nurse"said to me when I was moaning from PAIN said TO ME "you must have never had a cut before ,IT really hurtS " THEN LAUGHED.... I couldn't get out of there faster this hospital is a disgrace the nurses are a disgrace to the doctors if I even saw a doctor was a disgrace.

Provided by YP.comThe Charge nurse in ICU treated my family last night horriable its just that one nurse who is in charge at night when no family is allowed to stay so therefore she can get away with anything that she wants . Even yelled at my grandmother! Took away all of my grandfathers pain medicine after he had MAJOR surgery (cut open from chest to legs)... after we got a new nurse he could only get 4mg of morphine for 8 HOURS!!! becuse of what the other nurse had already messed everything up. He is on a feeding tube and isnt allowed water and yet she's trying to give him food. trying to make people as miserable as possiable and possiably even SICKER??

Provided by YPmobileAfter a trip to the cath lab, it was deemed that my father needed double bypass surgery. Initially, he and other family members were told that the situation was non emergent, completely fine to wait a few days. This, mind you, was before they found out we were wanting another doctor to operate on him. Then things flipped on their head. They refused to transfer him (blaming insurance) or discharge him (blaming his now EXTREMELY delicate and dire condition). I think I was most irate when my family was told by the charge nurse (after asking to speak to a patient care advocate or ombudsman that they supposedly do not have at this facility) that he was not going to be transferred or discharged, and if we didn't like it, we could simply be removed by security. Amazing. I signed my father out against medical advice as soon as we could, and he was readily received by a competent surgeon who (suprise!!!) didn't have a single issue with our insurance. So, congratulations, Bayshore!! You just painted a crystal clear picture of what is more important to you than a patient's desire to be in a facility with a surgeon they feel comfortable with. If all you want is "beds in heads" (patient=procedure=$$$$$$$)next time, try to pull the wool over a person's eyes that DOESN'T understand patient rights. Ridiculous.
