Provided by YP.comA few months ago my vehicle had it's bumper nearly ripped off and the headlight severely damaged. I was quoted at $1500 from my VW Dealership and decided to check out a few other auto body shops nearby.
Today I finally just had my front bumper replaced at this Maaco and everything went incredibly smooth. Service went quickly and the employees were very respectful. The owner, John, personally went through all of the parts he had ordered with me so I could be sure I was paying a fair price. After everything had been repaired I ended up paying a little more than half of what Volkswagen had quoted me but the car looks like nothing had ever happened to it.
Finally, John gave me some great advice on further maintenance of the vehicle and I left feeling satisfied and educated on keeping my vehicle looking great.
I would recommend stopping here first for a quote because chances are it's going to be cheaper than your dealership and the service was great.

Provided by YP.comMost unreliable service and job ever, total time of painting and fixing there job is 2 months and/or more, and still cant get it right nothing but run around, and in the end they tell you this is what you get in $1200 job. and they will advise you after they take your money, (should have gone to dealer) so they justify their incompetence with bunch of words. as i set there i had seen so many other customers unhappy with their work and i heard nothing but lame excuses such as it was raining, our A painter drama, i spoke to the owner himself a man with lots of tricks under his sleeves. please don't spend/waste/through your money and precious time at this place.

Provided by YP.comI am of two minds when it comes to this Maaco location.
I'm very pleased with the work these guys did. My car got keyed and I went here to have it painted. The scratch was not superficial and needed two stage painting done. When the tech drove my car around front to hand the keys over, he had to ask what was done to the car because he couldn't tell. Obviously he was not the one who did the work, but I take that as a very good sign when an employee of Maaco can't even tell what was done. My car is white, so it was easy to match the color, and the job was done so well that I couldn't tell where the factory paint ended and the Maaco job began.
However, despite the great job done, I have to say that there was an issue. I had a cup full of coins in my car (probably about $5 to $10 worth), and the entire thing turned up missing. Now, to be fair, I am less upset about losing such a small amount of money, and more upset about the fact that anything at all was taken. As a customer, I entrusted my vehicle and everything in it to this business, and my whole experience was ruined by one person who probably needed that money a bit more than me. I feel it is prudent for the manager/owner and future customers to know that while great work may be done, there is a petty thief that works at this location.
I will not be returning here due to that simple fact. I cannot trust my belongings will be safe and all accounted for here.

Provided by YP.comGood Luck! This use to be a good place until the new owners took over!
They lost the keys to my truck and never told me. They replaced the ignition themselves and did a bad job. I got home and was not able to start it with the ignition. I had to get new keys made and a lock smith to come out and fix the ignition switch. They never told me about it and never apologized. After I got home I noticed it had orange peel on the right rear fender. I could never get the manager to give me a straight answer on redoing the rear fender. I ended up taking my truck to another paint shop. So the money the supposedly saved me cost me more than if I had gone to another paint shop in the first place.

Provided by YP.comI have to say that I am VERY PLEASED with the work done on my car. I went into Maaco on Saturday to drop my car off to get my car fully repainted. and was assisted by RANDAL. He's the coolest guy ever and is very professional. I picked my car up today with all the work complete AND SOME! They went ABOVE AND BEYOND what any shop would ever do. They fixed things on my car that werent requested of them and I was not charged. This is such a blessing. I wish I could post a picture of my car to show you all!

Provided by YP.comI recently had my 1994 Ford Mustang painted at the MAACO in Pasadena, Tx. The staff there was very nice and very helpful. The owner Mr. John, the shop manager Mr. Arthur and the sales manager Mr. Randall = were all EXTREMELY helpful and knowledgable.
They gave me an honest price and the whole process took less than a week. I was surprised by how great my car looked after it was done. I was so happy that I decided to go online to leave them a good review.
I AM SHOCKED at what some of the reviews are saying about this shop!!!! These people must either be crazy or on drugs, because there is no way we are talking about the same place.
MAACO IN PASADENA TEXAS IS THE BOMB!!!! They will do a good job at a fair price. Simple as that.

Provided by YP.comI went by here after emailing and calling (talked to John) to get a quote on my 1988 Nissan 300 ZX that I am going to restore. I need alot of work done so they are looking at probably a few thousand dollars to get it to where I want it to be. Got there at 5:30 pm after work on Monday 09/27/11. I get there and the other manger type guy (don't remeber his name) was there and I told him I needed a quote. He said "Ok, give me a minute. Well "a minute" turned into 30 minutes as he was dealing with this black guy who had just gotten his car painted and was picking it up. HOWEVER, this guy was NOT happy with their work at all. He refused to take it home and was demanding they do it again. The entire time I am sitting there, a few thou in my pocket waiting for them to give me a reasonable price to do the work, and I am not only being ignored but am witness to a real customer satisfaction reality check. I took all this as a red flag and about 6:10pm, just walked out the store, got in my car and left. They guy never said another word to me as I left. Not "Sorry, I will be with you in a bit" or "Woud you just give me another couple of moments". Nope. Just kinda felt like the attitude was "See ya, wouldn't wanna be ya!"
Well, I am going to Donny's in Deer Park today and another place in Crosby on Wednesday to see if they are interested in making a new customer and earning a few thousand dollars.
Bottom line, I would be REAL careful about this place. I saw lots of red flags when I was there for just over 30 minutes.

Provided by YP.comcrappy job! the best customer service but sucky workers, needless to say the paint was way to wavy looking, and and when i was called to pick up the car because "it was ready" they show me two dents that they made, and instead of fixing it they call me to come pick it up, i told them they need to fix it so i leave the car, and when they call me again to come get it, it is still not ready, the "NEW" window motor did not function like a new window, it was very slow to rise, and John the managers excess is, well its new, i told him it doesnt move like its new, all i keept getting were excusses. I left crying because everytime they call me and tell me its ready when i get there, things that I requested to be done and was on the reciept were not done, i left in tears. It must be because I am a women, because when i took my husband with me the 4th and last time, they re-painted the car and it didnt look wavy, and the dent that they made was taken out, they did however miss a tiny bubble from the paint. Anyone wants pictures of the before, and after, and the damage they did please email me or write me here i will be glad to show them. I would never reccomend this particular place to any female, stress and excusses is what you will recieve, and when they say they are going to take care of it, they wont or will miss something. You get what you pay for

Provided by YP.comWORST! place to get your car painted and remove dents, i swear if you take your car here you will never forget the horror. I took my accura in and got the entire body painted n dents out to make it look new, and it came out worse. The paint was very wavy, and they made two of there own dents on the driver side door, i have pictures for proff, they called me to come get it because it was finished but they didnot take care of the dents that they caused. keep in mind before this had already came to pick it up because THEY said it was ready when in fact they forgot some things. Well I left my car again so they could take out the dents they made. When I was called a 3rd time to pick up the car, the back light would not come and they were the only ones to replace my back lights, the NEW window motor they place was not new at all, the window was very slow to come up, so needless to say I had to leave it once more. i finally had enough and I believe becuase I am a women they thought they could give me anything, so i sent my husband the last time to go with me, and wow that made a big impression, my car was no longer wavy like, and even though they left one little bubble i was ok with it, but trust me there customer service is the bomb but there workers suck
I normally dont respond to these, but I take exception to many things that you have said that are untrue; I personally picked up and paid for the new replacement motor for your door. I charged you a fair price for the replacement. Your complaint was that it didnt have the same "sound" rolling up as the other side. I explained that it was a new motor and it may sound different from the one on the other side that was 17+- yrs old. It was then that you accused me of not replacing the motor. I showed you the new motor and re-lubricated the window assembly. Your brake switch under the pedal was defective, as I found on the internet this was common on this car. I fixed this myself and it wasnt easy. We didnt work on the brakes and I explained that I was doing this for customer service only. Your husband never came in, as you claim and you were never deceived or discriminated against because you are a woman. You claimed we put dents in your car. This was not true. We fixed them for you for no extra charge. I went out of my way to help you and once you got what you wanted, you trashed me on the internet. I noticed that you have done this before on other sites. Sorry that I could not satisfy you, however, you know that the things you have said are untrue. Obviously I have receipts and a specific agreement with you concerning our repairs. You need to be careful when posting erroneous information on the internet.

Provided by YP.comComments: We had our daughters car painted @ your shop in Pasadena, Texas. It turned out great. From the first time I walked in to your shop, till the job was finished, I was treated like I was very important to the people who worked there. I explained to the gentleman who was giving me the price, that we were tight on money, he was so nice about it. He let us make a payment plan with them, to pay when and what we could, just as long as we had it paid for, when they started the job. The day I dropped off the car, my husband was supposed to follow me, so I would have a ride home. Something came up and he could not be there. I called Maaco, and he said "don't worry, we will get you a ride". When I came down, the salesman asked a worker there to give me a ride. The guy he asked, dropped what he was doing and gave me a ride. On the way home the driver asked me what car was ours, and what we were having done to it. I told him, and he knew so much about the different paint colors and things that were involved, I thought he was going to be the guy who would be painting the car, so I asked him if he was, and he laughed and said, "no, I'm just one of the owners!" Wow, what service is that? The next day, my husband and I went back to Maaco, to make sure we were going to be getting the right color, we got there right when the store opened, and would you guess who greeted us? Thats right it was the guy who had giving me a ride home the day before. He stared helping with colores in different books, when he got called away, so a lady from the back came out to finish helping us, she was just as caring as everyone else. She spent time with us and gave us her thoughts. I asked her if she was the person who is in the office doing all the paper work, she was, but she was also the other owner of the company. My daughter had no idea we were getting her car done for her. She thought we we putting in a new sound system for her, (this was her Christmas present). So every day she asked what is taking so long with her car. It came down to the wire. It was the day before Christmas Eve, and the last day the car could be ready before Christmas, I was nervous that it would not be ready in time, but the first man that I dealt with told me not to worry, that he would stay until it was done. When we got the call the car was ready (2.5 hrs. after Maaco had closed,) my husband and I happily rushed down to pick up the car. We knew the salesman had stayed late to help us, but we were surprised when we got there, seeing that 3 other workers were also there finishing up the car! Wow, on the night before Christmas Eve, any other company would have said "Sorry we tried, but we just could not get it done in time" and would have closed up shop to go be with their families for the holiday. Not your company, they stayed until the job was done. My daughter was so happy. This was the best Christmas gift we have ever giving her in 17 years, and we could not have done it with out the people at Maaco in Pasadena, Texas on Spencer street. Thanks, ya'll will always be my heros!

- Auto Painting Process Step 1: Body Repair - Worried about those small dents and unsightly scratches ruining your paint job? Our body repair technicians have mastered the method of eliminating those blemishes down to a Five-Step Process to ensure that your finish is free from those small dents and unsightly scratches. Step 2: Surface Preparation - You know those chips, scratches, cracks and excessive peeling on your vehicle? If left untreated and exposed to the elements over time, these conditions could ultimately ruin your paint job. At Maaco, our estimators examine your vehicle and suggest condition repairs. We offer affordable surface prep options that ensure your MAACOVER looks great. A little surface repair before the paint goes on can ensure it holds that gloss and shine for years to come. Step 3: Surface Sealer - Sealer plays that all-important role of establishing a barrier between the old and new paint. This ensures consistent color and a higher gloss throughout the entire painted surface. At Maaco we offer 3 grades of sealer. The right choice is all about durability, and ultimately the amount of prep work needed for your particular vehicle. When it comes to the durability of your vehicle's paint, sealer helps keep consistent shine long after the job is done. Step 4: Paint Services - We offer three paint packages tailored to your specific needs and budget concerns: Basic, Preferred and Premium. What makes each of the three services unique all comes down to two factors: Longevity of the paint, which includes warranty/durability, and the appearance of the paint, which includes gloss, color match, and metallic appearance. Step 5: Protection & Services - A great paint job deserves great protection. We often apply clear coats to our paint jobs to not only protect the paint, but to ensure an accurate gloss match and an overall seamless repair.
