We purchased a mobile home in May 2018. The bathroom fiberglass fixtures in both baths were in great shape, except they were bone and I wanted white. I had seen this refinishing process in June in Orange county and the showers looked new (they were 40 years old). I inquired of Dave's ability and he assured me he had been in business 40 years repairing and refinishing, making things look like glass when he was done. Also warned me about other finishers around Paso who did terrible jobs. I trusted that he knew what he was doing, but he either did not know or what he calls good quality work is not good enough for me. He left the tub and showers with drips, pitts (rough to the touch) streaks (light thin paint in some areas and heavier paint in other areas), saying they were only shadows. These things were all very noticible, but he said he could not see it. How can you argue with someone who cannot see the obvious? The job was very shoddy and looks like it was painted with a brush. After spending $70K so far in renovating this place, it is embarrassing to see such amateur work. I plan to have it redone as soon as I can find someone in the area to do it. Work on this place has almost stopped until this project is completed. Can't paint the walls, can't put in the flooring, etc. until the bathrooms are done. We paid him $1265. to refinish one tub and 2 showers, changing the color from bone to white. He has refused to redo his work saying "he does not know what I want and he did the best he could". Anyone out there with experience and a good eye for quality that is looking for a job?
