The Oklahoma Department of Human Services provides medical, family planning, adoption and child support services. Located in Pawhuska, Okla., the department offers protection, treatment and identification services against abuse and neglect. It also provides financial and medical assistance programs to refugees and offers therapeutic services to children. In addition, the Oklahoma Department of Human Services provides vocational training and employment services. Its child care program offers supervisory, educational and nutritional services. The department provides the Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP), which includes winter heating, energy crisis management and home repair assistance services.
