Founded in 1915, TAPPI, also known as the Technical Association of the Pulp and Paper Industry, is one of the world s largest professional associations that serves the pulp, paper, converting and packaging industries. The association is a registered, nonprofit, non-governmental organization that is comprised of more than 14,000 member engineers and scientists. TAPPI also provides educational services through seminars, courses and workshops. The association publishes periodicals that include Solutions! for People, Processes, and Paper and International Nonwovens Journal. It sponsors over 25 student chapters located on college campuses. The association has various member companies, including Acrowood Corporation, A. H. Lundberg Associates and Allison Systems Corporation. TAPPI is located in Norcross, Ga.
