My names is Hayes, I had master air do my outside unit, the technician Dakota done a superb job, he had great communication skills, he came out thru the night and serviced our unit to get us thru the crisis, it was fast service and the new condenser is running great, the inside is so cold it will throw snow balls ! It will freeze you out, thanks Master Air

Horrible pricing!!! So my capa...

Horrible pricing!!! So my capacitor went bad after 10 years of use. I called master air for a price to replace it and on the part. Somebody called me back and said "The price for the capacitor is about 200, and if your going to replace the capacitor, its probably because the fan went out too. The price for the fan is about 300." So then I said, "I researched the price of the capacitor and it is only 40 bucks. and the price of the fan is only 70 bucks. So you're telling me that the labor will cost me about 400?". The lady didn't have a response after that. So instead, i just went to AC Delco, purchased a capacitor for 37 dollars, installed it myself. If you need help with replacing the capacitor, just google it. Very easy and can be done in as little as 5 minutes. Connect the corresponding wires to the corresponding labels. Be sure to turn off the breakers to the AC before you do anything. Better yet, turn off the breakers to the whole house.

Summary:

For what they charged $500, i fixed it myself for $37

Beware these people are dishonest

Master Air came out to check our AC that wasn't putting out enough cool air. They found it short on Freon , then he went to check the indoor unit and said" oh that is why it doesn't work right you have a super cheap system". He didn't do any more than just look at it and decided it was bad and needing replacing!

He told me I needed one of their $8500.00 units and claimed it saved 47% on the electric bill. I ask if that 47% was in writing on the contract, he said "no" and said "trust me you'll get the savings". I ask if he could just put the Freon in the unit to see if that all was it needed. He quickly used scare tactics saying " yes but it cost $260.00 and it could all just drain away in 24 hours, there is no guarantee it will work". Master Air people work on commission so they try to make as much off you as possible, they don't care about you at all.

Next I tried Mabry's AC in Pearland. They told me I should try to put Freon first before buying a new unit. Had the Freon put in plus the service call for $258.00 and everything worked great, it has been 15 days and the AC still works great no sign of the losing any cooling.

Master Air employees do not work on commission. We go out of our way to make sure our customers are completly satisfied, we have been in the Pearland area for over 28yrs & have a very large happy customer base. Freon is a closed circuit system & doesnt just "go away" it is either physically released by someone or leaks out of the system, due to bad welds or corrosion in the lines or equipment. When an AC tech tells you your Freon is very low, they should also warn you that there is no guarantee it will stay in your system. As a matter of fact, we require our customers to sign on our invoice that there is a possible leak in the system & we dont guarantee adding Freon will help. This is due to some customers not getting warned & calling in a few days complaining that they paid a certain amount for Freon so why isn't their system cooling now? Im sorry you didn't like your evaluation of your system & I hope your unit is still cooling properly.

great service & same day!

I called Master Air last Sunday in the evening, I had my grandkids over for the weekend & NO AC! The tech that came out was very helpful & informative. He had my AC working within an hour & the price was great for emergency service on a Sunday. Thanks again Master Air I will definately be using your company again!
