Peculiar Elementary School provides academic programs and extracurricular activities to students in kindergarten through grade four. The school s library media center enables students and staff to effectively locate and use information, as well as encourages lifelong learning. Peculiar Elementary School offers an accelerated reader program, which is a curriculum-based assessment tool used to improve the reading abilities of students. It provides academic instruction in language arts, health and physical education, music, math, speech, science, social studies and fine arts. In addition, the school has a parent-teacher association that organizes a variety of fundraising events for the school s benefit.
