Cedar Works' products are crafted from red cedar. In addition to its distinct color and aroma, red cedar is naturally weather resistant. Its own preservatives protect it for years without the use of chemicals. In 1985, the company s first cedar mailbox was sold. The 'Address of Distinction' collection, a group of mailboxes, posts, address numbers and other accessories, were added in 1987. In the late 80s, the company s products began to appear in hardware and home center stores east of the Rockies. Located in Peebles, Ohio, Cedar Works was founded in 1976.
