I just got ripped off by the clock repair guy named Bart Hoyle. He first tried to take off the side panel which isn't the way to get into the clock, it has a back panel for that. Then he asked how long has it been since the clock had service. then he told me that the working part of the clock would have to be replaced or rebuilt for $600.00 or he could oil it but it would only last for a day or two. I told him to oil it which he did and then he told me that the service call would be $100.00. Then he said that the oiling should take care of it.

I won't deny him the price of his service call, the clock is working for now. However, my complaint is that he tried to take me for $600.00 saying if he oiled it, it would only last for a few days. I called another clock shop and that guy charges $60.00 for a service call.
