Located in Pekin, Ill., Washington Intermediate School serves more than 500 students in grades four through six. The school was built in 1929 as a junior high facility and later the school was structured as an intermediate facility. It offers a wide range of subjects to students, including physical education, music and art. The school has a staff of musicians, art specialists, learning center teachers and instructional assistants to serve students. Additionally, it offers title I services, special education and resource programs. The school also provides the Connections program to provide a comprehensive curriculum to students. It also has a counseling and guidance department for students. The school is a part of the Pekin Public Schools District 108 in Illinois.
