Provided by YP.comI had my transmission rebuilt which had a 6 month warranty. My transmission went out less than 2 months out of warranty, so I had my vehicle towed in to be checked out and to see what the company is willing to do to help me out. To have my vehicle towed 1 direction (less than 25 miles away), I was charged $100.00. For him to look at my transmission I was charged $150.00 and to rebuild my transmission once again I was going to be charged $1700.00 (the same amount that I was charged less than 8 months earlier). Mr. Ellis told me that when he rebuilt the transmission, He didn't replace the tork convertor (cause it met the standards to be in a transmission & the owner told him not too). Guess what went out in my transmission? U guessed it, The part that wasn't replaced to begin with. Until this date I wasn't ever told that my transmission was never completely rebuilt and that they got to pick and chose what they wanted to replace without consulting me 1st.
The owner nor the mechanic wouldn't even cut me a break in the price. I was told that I had to at least pay the $250.00 charge or they would sell my car. I am a single Mom and I can't afford to pay the total bill of $1800.00 to totally repair my car and for the tow fee.
