Roundup Athletic Club was built and opened in 1978 by Jim Schroder and Jim Peters. The original facility included 6 racquetball courts, small separate weight rooms, a 20 X 40 indoor pool, hot tubs and saunas in each locker room, encompassing a total of 18,000 square feet. The first 200 members who joined the club paid a $350 initiation fee, and were called Charter Members. They were, and still are the backbone of RAC. The Charter Members who are still with the club have over 20 years invested with us. You can see a list of the first 200 on the wall in the snack bar area.
