November 26 and 27December 3, 4, 10, 17-19 and 21-23, 2010Beginning at 6:00pm $18 non-members; $15 WRHS/HFV members This 90-minute, lantern-lit journey takes guests on a history tour of the holiday season in the Western Reserve during the 19th century. Blending history and theatre, interpreted scenes are presented in the village houses based on research of newspaper accounts, advertisements, diaries, and classic holiday literature from the era. Mid-winter celebrations marked by revelry, chaos, and mayhem remained an important part of post-harvest celebrations. This year, be prepared for merrymaking, caroling, and a bit of the unexpected from the younger residents of the Village. Lantern Tours depart every 20 minutes beginning at 6:00 pm (last tour at 8:20pm) on November 26, 27 and December 3, 4, 10, 17-19 and 21-23, 2010. Tours are subject to change without prior notice. Lantern Tours are an indoor/outdoor activity. Guests are asked to dress for the weather. Reservations are required. For ticket availability and reservations call 330-666-3711.
