POOR SERVICE, THEY HAVE NO QUALMS ABOUT VANDALIZING YOUR PERSONAL VEHICLE I deal with quite a few truck rental locations throughout the tri-state area for work. This place has been the absolute worst I've dealt with BY FAR. It took about an hour to get the truck despite having a reservation weeks in advance and the establishment not being busy. Throughout the entire process, the GM (I forget her name) was rude and condescending. To top it all off, I left personal vehicle at the establishment and came back to find it vandalized by Budget employees, with the words "Budget/Avis parking only!!!" written in white PAINT on my driver side window. Keep in mind, the parking spot wasn't marked as such.Needless to say, I would not recommend this business to my worst enemy.

Do not rent a truck here! It took us over 3 hours to try to return the truck here.



The "ladies" at the desk requested a piece of paper during the return that the man at the rental location never mentioned we would need during the return. Of course in the midst of moving, we didn't have that paper. The easy solution would be for the "ladies" to do their job and call the rental location, get that paper faxed, and all would be fine. Did that happen? No.



The "ladies" gave us their location's fax number, told us to call, and do their job for them. We did this several times. The rental location guy did send the fax to the number the "ladies" provided. He told us that it gave him a busy signal. When the "ladies" finally acknowledged us again, they said that yes their fax machine was receiving faxes then and was busy. So we tried again, and again, and again.



The story finally ended with us having to call Budget Corporate who called the two locations in question and found out that the problem (other than having the customer do their job) was that the "ladies" had given us their PHONE NUMBER and not their FAX NUMBER. They wrote it down on a piece of paper for us, they hadn't even dictated it to us giving us the chance to make the error in writing it down wrong - they wrote it down wrong.



During this time, the "ladies" were rude to every single other customer in there. One man, who was older and clearly did not rent cars or trucks much, was renting a vehicle and the "lady" left the building with the keys without telling him to follow "her." After a moment, he turned to the other "lady" asking if he should go with the first "lady." The "lady" behind the counter retorted, "Well duh! What do you think this is? A valet? (rude insulting laughter)."



NEVER RENT A TRUCK FROM BUDGET!
