Your goal is to find the best child care center for your child, one that you can trust, know that your child is safe, and that the educational program meets your child's needs.  We understand; it is our goal as well.

The Village Learning Center,(TVLC) is owner operated, not a franchise or a chain.  TVLC was started in 1982 to provide children with a quality educational program based on their needs and desires.  Research has proven, that the early years of life are important for all areas of development.  At TVLC, we use the Creative Curriculum (R) which is recommended by the State Dept of Ed, and NACCP.  Because we are independent, we are able to choose the best for the children in our community.  We promote learning and deveopment in each of the following critical developmental areas: social, emotional, physical, language, and cognitive.

* Owner Operated - Not a Franchise or Chain * Over 25 Years Experience * Family Friendly Schedules * Video-Monitored Classrooms and Outdoor Areas * Developmentally Appropriate Curriculum with Certified Teachers * Computers * Yoga * Music * Spanish * Karate * Soccer * Gymnastics

not what it appears.

We were disappointed because we had heard good things. about this day care. The appearance is one thing-the reality another. If you have a choice, pick another. This one for the money leaves much to be desired. the workers are not satisfied with their work and the kids look bored and often just do not seem happy at least a handful do not. . Our child communicated some things about the activities that had us feel he was not engaged. There are better day cares. So keep going. No good.

TVLC is a great, friendly, clean school that really let your child have a great learning experience. My 4 and a half yrs old lil girl are always happy about going to school. Great teachers and staff. They really pay attention to each individual kids.

The children in the school are polite and friendly. Most importantly the school is CLEAN.

I would highly recommend this school to anybody who is looking for a school for their little ones. I have seen big improvement in my daughter speech and she seem so much happier ever since she started school. What is more important then giving your child a great learning experience while having fun with great classmates. And i can't mention enough is soooo clean.

Wonderful Experience

We love TVLC. My 5-year old child has been at TVLC since she was 5 months old.During the tour of the center, I spent a few hours in the infant room with Miss Judy & my child to see what it was like.Leaving my child with Miss Judy was like leaving her with my mom.We continued to have wonderful experiences as she progressed through the other programs.Miss Kim helped us through the terrible twos & potty training, Miss Heather started her love of learning letters & numbers, Miss Carla tougher her manners & the importance of being a good friend, Miss Danielle/Carrie taught her how important class room jobs like meteorologist and snack helper were, & the word of the week. Now, Miss Kelly is working on writing, reading, science, social studies, & math with her.TVLC’s Camp Discovery is great too.TVLC is bright, clean, full of age appropriate toys and activities, & has a library, gym, and beautiful grounds. Communication is great.I am very proud to call TVLC family & highly recommend it!

We have had a truly wonderful experience with TVLC. My 5-year old child has been at TVLC since she was 5 months old. The staff has been part of our family since day one. Not only was I given a tour of the center, but I was allowed to spend a few hours in the infant room with Miss Judy and my child to see what it was like. Going back to work was hard, but leaving my child with Miss Judy was like leaving her with my mom. We continued to have wonderful experiences as she progressed through the Toddler, Young Pre School, Pre School, Pre-Kindergarten, and now Kindergarten rooms. Miss Kim helped us through the terrible twos and potty training, Miss Heather started my child’s love of learning letters and numbers, Miss Carla continued with letters and numbers and taught her manners and the importance of being a good friend, Miss Danielle and Miss Carrie taught her how much fun writing in a journal could be, how important class room jobs were (like meteorologist and snack helper), and understanding big words by having a “word of the week”. Now, Miss Kelly is working on handwriting, reading, science, social studies, and math with her. In addition, she has had a great time at TVLC’s Camp Discovery since she was 3 years old. She loved swimming lessons, horseback riding, karate, soccer, nature, art, and various field trips.

The center is bright, clean, full of age appropriate toys and activities, and has a wonderful library, gym, and beautiful grounds, perfect for energetic eager to learn children. There are so many opportunities for the parents to be involved and the communication is great; I receive lots of emails about upcoming events and candid pictures of my child. I am greeted every time I enter the building and have always appreciated the “open door” policy of the directors and teachers. I am very proud to call TVLC family and highly recommend the center.

We love TVLC!

Every child care setting has their own personality and TVLC fits our family perfectly. The difference I see is that the teachers in every room have been my PARTNER in raising my children. Their feedback isn't always easy to hear, no one wants to hear that their child is anything but perfect, but my children are better for it and so am I.

This place is horrible.

snotty day care workers

too expensive and a real nightmare

my son cried every day when we left him. we learned it was due to the yelling by the day care people. no one cares -it s a horrible place.

I was shocked when I read this review. How could a center with such fantastic reviews receive such a negative comment. After reviewing who wrote it, I understood, the author has never been to this center. In all of my 29 years of owning and operating The Village Learning Center there has never been a Lina, mother or child enrolled at my school.

Words cannot express how appreciative we are! Our children are our most precious gifts and we always know they are in excellent hands with all of the staff at TVLC. The quality of care, the attention to the child's development and their commitment to cultivating a fun learning environment are just some of the things we appreciate most. Above all, the staff treat our kids like family. We love TVLC!

Genuine Interest in the Children

My son is new t TVLC, however, I would like to speak to my experience so far. I thought the transition to a new school would be very difficult and stressful for him and our family, especially right in the middle of the holidays. However, Mary, the owner, Sari the director, and the teachers Kim and Nicole really take a genuie interest in the children and foster such a positive experience for them. They have worked closely with me, my husband and my son to ensure that we were comfortable and that our questions were (an continue to be) answered. We are very fortunate that he can be at TVLC , and we look forward to the next several years as we watch him grow and develop. We really apreciate being part of the TVLC family!

Contributing Positively to The Children's Character

We feel like the staff at TVLC are part of our family! They helped us raise 3 children from infancy to school age contributing positively to their characters and sense of worth. We couldn't have done it without TVLC(or at least not as good of a job!)

TVLC versus national child care centers

My 2 daughters spent a total of 8 years in a Bright Horizons.I found myself looking for care when my husband changed jobs.I felt spoiled by the great care we had received and expected to have to settle for less at any other center. But my 4 year old daughter absolutely LOVES TVLC and fit right in as soon as she started.TVLC is bright and cheerful featuring white and primary colors inside. One thing TVLC has that not all centers have is a library! TVLC also has two-level indoor play houses in the Pre-K and Kindergarden rooms. The owner,Mary,is so pleasant and genuinely friendly.Having an owner on site nearly every day is comforting. Other centers simply have directors who are employees. But an owner really cares and doesn't leave.I think this is a major factor in the staff longevity at TVLC.There is low staff turnover at TVLC,it is hard on the children when the teachers leave. TVLC is comparable in every way to the national chain and BETTER in that it also has a a great family feel!

Transition to New School Very Smooth

Although Felix is new to TVLC, I can speak to our experience so far. I thought the transition to a new school would be very difficult and stressful for Felix and our family, especially right in the middle of the holidays. However, Mary, Sari, Kim, and Nicole have made the transition very smooth. Kim and Nicole really take a genuine interest in the children and foster such a positive experience for them. They have worked closely with me, my husband and Felix to ensure that we were comfortable and that all our questions were and continue to be answered. We are very fortunate that Felix can be at TVLC, and we look forward to the next several years as we watch him grow and develop. We really appreciate being part of the TVLC family!

Fantastic Summer Camp

Our family would like to express our happiness with Katie's summer camp experience. She truly enjoyed all of the activities, especially swimming lessons, horse back riding, and the field trips. Our families and friends are amazed at her stories about camp. Katie is already talking about next summer.

The Best in the Area

My 1 year old son has been in the Infant Room since he was 3 months. He has blossomed in to an inquisitve boy, recognizing colors and shapes, dancing to songs and perfecting his fine motor skills. He points to objects and is so eager and happy to be at TVLC. I'm a first time Mother and have learned a lot from both the staff and from my son's experiences. The interaction he has with other children is priceless; most of all, the staff are very nurturing, willing to communicate openly with the parents and are knowledgeable of eadh childs unique traits. I definetly recommend TVLC and consider it the best in the area.
