Taekwon-Do is a self-defense art it also is based on certain principles such as courtesy, integrity, perseverance, self-control and indomitable spirit. Instructors from the U.T.A. take teaching seriously and have devoted their lives to passing on the art the way Master Choi's father would have wanted it. That is to teach the students unconditionally so that one day they may become stronger both mentally and physically the way a parent would hope for their own child. The United Taekwon-Do Association was founded nearly a year ago on this very principle by four men looking to further their own education. Although the U.T.A. is a young organization their instructors have more than a half century of combined experience between them with national and world titles behind them.
