I entered the store after checking the reviews and can ensure you that Mr. Barrett is an exceptional individual. I was greeted promptly by Mr. Barrett himself at the counter and was immediately taken care of. He weighed my gold and silver in front of me while carrying on a conversation that I thoroughly enjoyed and was able to banter back on. He devoted his time and attention to me during our transaction and made me feel equal and respected. I left his business with quite a higher profit than I anticipated and I will definitely be returning to him in the future.

EXCELLENT EXPERIENCE. I came in with 14K gold jewelry to sell. Frankly, I wanted a more dignified experience than going to a pawn shop. I was professionally greeted. The place is lovely inside! My jewelry was accurately weighed and appraised. I was given a very fair value and was paid in cash. I will DEFINITELY be referring them and utilizing their services again. It was a pleasure doing business with Mr. Barrett. He handled the transaction in a totally professional manner, while also being very pleasant and personable. He also was willing to negotiate, and I left satisfied that he had given me a fair price for my jewelry. Also, having never been there before, I had worried some about going alone to carry out this kind of business, entering and exiting the building, especially since I was on my bicycle. I had the most amazing selling experience at Barrett's Buyers. Courteous, honest, efficient, extremely knowledgable staff handheld me through the selling and buying process. A very professional and friendly environment on a SAFE side of town. They treat their customers with respect and understanding. This is definitely NOT the kind of place you have to leave your dignity at the door, nor bring an armed escort for safety.
