Absolutely the best haircut my little Sadie(Shih tzu) has every had! Sadie is the first dog I've ever had that needed to be groomed regularly. I started off getting her groomed at pet smart, lets just say I'll never make that mistake again, she was there all say long and I seriously think I could have done a better job. Some friends of mine told me that they take their dogs to the blue poodle so I figured I'd give them a try. When I called the lady on the phone was so helpful and nice, she fit me in at 8am so I could just drop said off on the way to dropping my boys off at school. Around 11am she called me and let me know that she was ready for pick up. THEY DID AN AMAZING JOB. She looked so cute with her bows and the perfume they use smells amazing, I even bought a bottle to use on her inbetween groomings and it was only $10 bucks! Not to mention that her haircut and everything was only $35 versus the $60 that pet smart had charged me.

I'm so glad I found this place. The staff is so sweet and they genuinely love my dogs. My babies get SO excited when we round the corner next to Lowes, they love coming here which lets me know I'm leaving them in trusted hands. Their prices are actually really reasonable and they do an awesome job, they even get cute little bandannas before they come home. I would highly recommend this place to anyone searching for a groomer.

After my experience I will not go back. Extremely rude and unprofessional. If I can't be treated properly as a customer, I won't leave my loved ones there.

I've never come across a business as rude as these people are! I would never recommend taking an animal there for any reason.

Terrible experience. If they treat the pets like they treat people, then I would never leave any animal here.

We had a horrible experience with not only the owner but with the staff as well. We asked them to groom one of our dogs and they mistakenly groomed both of them terribly. They tried to charge us until we politely explained that we had only asked for one. She was very rude and basically accused us of lying in front of everyone, saying that she would listen to the tape and we would owe her the money. Our dogs came back nervous and one of the dogs was even sick. We talked to other dog owners in our neighborhood and they had similar experiences with the owner being rude. They did a terrible job grooming our dogs and did not even finish the second dog that we didn't want them to groom, but she was ready to charge us the full price. We will not be going back.

AWFUL GROOMING PLACE in Pensacola, FL. I took my dog Harley to the BLUE POODLE grooming last Tuesday and 2 days after we got her home, her neck was scabbed up from what looked like rope burn. They use a rope leash when they have them on the grooming table that the more the dog pulls, the tighter it gets. We have taken her numerous times to the Blue Poodle and NEVER has something like this happened. In fact, I have taken both of my dogs there numerous times. Not once did they call me to let me know that Harley was harder to handle than usual nor did anyone mention it to me when I picked her up. I called to inform them of what happened and the manager argued with me. She did not let me finish talking before she continuously interrupted me and started getting defensive and then began yelling. Then, she hung up on me. Now, I work in customer service and have for 9 years. In no instance have I ever hung up on a client. This is the most unprofessional company I have ever come across. Also, based on this situation, they do not care as much for the clients animals as I thought. Look at the photos of my dogs neck posted.

Been bringing my Oreo here for a couple years now. I do not know what these other people are going through, but I love this place :) He is always super clean when I pick him up and really that's all I can ask for. I've tried a few places, but I will stick with The Blue Poodle. Thanks Guys....

Never again...

I will never again take my dogs to this salon. The old lady at the front desk was so rude and had such a negative vibe, I should have walked right out at the get go. My dogs were so distressed and scared when I picked them up I could have cried. I felt so terrible for them, and I will never return.

I took my dogs in to get groomed today. Yesterday when I called I told them the weight of my dogs, breed and length of hair, they then told me the price would be $25 for my large dog and $15 for my smaller dog. When I went to the counter, they charged me $50. I paid my money, and then I asked what deemed their rates, as a different charge took place then what I had been quoted. This is went the yelling tirade from Kim (the owner) began. She yelled me right out the door (literally). She told me that she is the best and busiest groomer in town and she does not need my business.

Funny thing is, I was just asking a question so that I would be properly prepared for the "next" time. However, there will be no next time now. I have never been treated so poorly in all my life. If she talks to people that way for asking a simple question, what does she do to dogs that can not talk?

She needs to take a lesson in manners and customer service. She even has sarcastics signs about complaints throughout her lobby. She must be use to complaints, to be so brazen to mock her clients as they walk in the door. Never mind the soup nazi, watch out for the groomer nazi.

I travel quite a bit and have ...

I travel quite a bit and have tried 9 kennels around Escambia and Santa Rosa Counties. I live in Pensacola but am willing to drive a distance if it means my dogs are cared for properly. I have also had friends come by my home to feed them and let them out several times a day. If my pets are stressed it makes me stressed. Both dogs are extremely laid back and easy to care for. By FAR the Blue Poodle has been the easist to deal with. To give you an idea of past experience with other kennels have kept them in small cages, butchered their nails to the point their paws bled for two days. My dogs WILL NOT use the bathroom inside one kennel kept them locked up for at least 14 hours (that I can prove). I was LIVID. One kennel was so loud with barking that I couldn't hear myself talking to the clerk. When I rode by late at night before I had left town the barking was still active. Each time I have picked up my dogs from other kennels (with the exception of one in Milton) they have been sooo ready to get home that when they did they found their bed and didn't move for some time.

After being left at Blue Poodle for over a week I was amazed that not only were my dogs healthy, happy and clean but they were in no hurry to get in my vehicle. When we arrived home they acted very relaxed and as if they had been at home the entire time. I will say that the dogs were not ready as early as I would have liked and that did cause a litte scheduling issue BUT, I did pick them up on a saturday - the busiest day of the week so I was understanding. The staff was extremely polite and professional. All charges were the same as I had expected and exactly what had been discussed prior to boarding.

One of the best and most convenient perks of Blue Poodle is they are excellent about not charging for extra nights boarding if you pick up pet after 12 noon. If I can't take my dogs with me then they stay at blue poodle.

I may be a little crazy about my pets but they have been very good to me and they deserve to be treated well. My dogs are not used to pens, fences or leashes. I like the fact that if your pet is well trained and plays well with others they are allowed to socialize and roam the play areas with other dogs.

Never Again!

Horrible experience at this salon. My appointment was at 10:00 and I arrived at 9:45. The person at the front desk told me it would be four hours and escorted myself, my husband, and my dogs to the kennel area. I told her that they had never been in a kennel nor been separated before. While my husband was trying to put them in the kennel she shoved his hand. Once in the kennel she said she would call when they were finished. At 1:45 (almost four hours) we arrived to pick up the dogs because we had been shopping in the area. The person at the front desk told us one dog was ready to go and we could take her. The lady who was grooming was standing behind this lady and asked if she could call us when they were ready (in a very rude voice). When my husband asked at what point the other two dogs were at the lady rolled her eyes and walked away. The receptionist said that it should be no later than 2:30 so my husband and I went shopping and waited on the phone call. When we finally called them at 3:45 they said they were ready and we could come pick them up. When we picked them up, they were in separate kennels when I had given instructions to keep them together and they had agreed to. Also, when I called to make the appointment I told the person over the phone that one of my dogs’ hair was badly matted. I was told it would be $25 per dog. Upon payment, they requested $95 which I paid because I had already had such a bad experience and just wanted to take my dogs home. On the way home I noticed that I had blood on my pants from the nails bleeding. I typically get my vet tech to clip my dogs’ nails and she has rarely made them bleed and if she did she would put something on them to make them stop. I decided at that point not to take them back because they seemed traumatized when I picked them up. When we got home all three dogs tried to drink out of the same bowl which is unusual for them. I had to change the water three times. They had been at the salon for almost six hours and I believe they did not get any water while there. They also pottied a lot more than usual, so I’m sure they didn’t take them out either. Later on in the night I also noticed one of my dogs had a rash between his legs which was not there beforehand.

My husband called the next morning to let them know that the dogs’ paws were bleeding after their visit. The lady on the phone (Kim) was extremely rude and told my husband it looked like their nails had not been clipped in a year and we should have brought them back. My husband told Kim that their paws were trimmed a couple of months earlier at the vet for their checkup and he could bring her the receipt to show it. Kim told him that she didn’t care and if we wanted her to do something about it we should have brought them back (at an additional charge, I’m sure.) Kim told my husband they were very difficult dogs. (The other groomer we took them to never had any type of problem and said they were well-behaved. The only reason we stopped using her is because she got out of the business.) My husband then requested a receipt because they had failed to give us a receipt (which we had forgotten to ask for since we were trying to get three distressed dogs into the car). Kim stated they don’t give receipts because it’s like a haircut, to which my husband replied that he does get receipts for his haircuts. The argument went on. My husband finally just hung up.

Neither my husband nor myself are typically argumentative people. We just wanted to pick our dogs up and them be happy and healthy. Our dogs are our children. I was very distraught for my family (dogs included) to be treated in such a manner. I will never take my dogs back to this salon again and recommend no one else does.
