Provided by YPmobileThe above reviews are accurate. Called on a Wednesday at 3:45 and no one there to fill tanks. Lady who answered the phone was not very nice. I would not recommend using this company unless you want to leave your tanks to get filled and like to deal with people who are rude. I will just stick with Uhaul as i have in the past they are always willing to help you and are very kind!

Provided by YPmobileHorrible company. We owned our own gas tank and Dawdle tried to charge us rent for my own tank. They then charged me interest on top of that. It took a year to fix and we will never use them again.

Provided by YP.comThis is the most unfriendly office staff you will ever find. The ladies behind the desk act as though you are about to rob them when you walk in the front door and not a paying customer. This has happened on multiple occasions. Twice in just the last month a special trip was made only to be told either no one was there to refill a grill tank (Friday at 10 minutes to closing) or they were out of gas. Never again to this place. Will use charcoal instead.

Provided by YP.comThis fall has gotten very cold already, so cold that our regular heating system was not enough. We had to fill our propane tank so our kids would be warm at night. Dowdle's was the only one that would fill our tank that day, but we paid for it. Excessively.
First of all, Dowdle's propane costs are definitely not the lowest in town. However, paying a little extra so your children will not be cold as they sleep is worth it. What was not worth it was the $50 extra charge to have the propane delivered in a timely manner. Then, we found out that there was a cracked line. It was late, so the driver said he was unable to get the part right then, but would come by in the morning and fix it. To me, that defeats the whole purpose of the extra delivery charge. We couldn't use the gas we bought when we needed it. (By the way, we had a universal replacement part that night, which he said would not work and refused to use. Turns out, it would've worked perfectly.)
So, the next morning, he showed up almost two hours late with the new part. After he made the repair, he then informed us that it was going to cost even more (the night before he said there would be no cost). Once again, we paid, for the sake of our children.
There was also a line test charge, which at least one other company that I know of does for free.
Oh, and the night he came? The whole time he complained about how he wanted to go home.
