Based in Pensacola, Fla., the First Presbyterian Church is a place of worship offering a list of workshops, fellowships and retreats. It conducts the Sunday School, Christian education for all ages, Wednesday evening fellowship for all ages, workshops, small-groups education and other annual events. The Church functions through ministries for children, youth and adult and each ministry has many layers including recreation, service, education, worship and more. In addition, the First Presbyterian Church supports programs, such as United Ministries, a non-profit ecumenical agency providing emergency aid to the financially less fortunate in the community; Loaves and Fishes Soup Kitchen and Living Well Center which provides approximately 6,200 meals per month to the homeless; Two Cents a Meal which is a program for hunger relief; and Local Home Repair Assistance which provides minor repair, clean-up and painting services for local people in need.
