George Stone Career Center, established in 1969, provides vocational training and technical education to students. The various programs offered by the center include accounting, residential plumbing, sales marketing and management, automotive technology, carpentry, construction, electricity, dental assisting, fire service and business studies. The center has a laboratory for drafting and design, bookkeeping, data processing and horticulture activities. It also provides training programs for administrative assistance, engine machining, industrial model making, massage therapy, medical administration, nursing, supervisory management and young child education. The services offered by the center include individual counseling, job placement, community resource referrals, mentoring and financial assistance for child care, tuition and books. It is accredited by the Council on Occupational Education and is a certified training center for the State of Florida Department of Law Enforcement. George Stone Career Center is located in Pensacola, Fla.
