N. B. Cook Elementary School is a public, coeducational institution that provides learning opportunities to more than 600 students in kindergarten through grade five. It offers fine arts magnet, after-school child care, and exceptional student and drug abuse resistance-related educational programs. The school s academic curriculum includes various subjects, such as math, science, social studies, language arts, reading and physical education. Its parent-teacher association organizes several fundraising programs, including book fairs, school arts festivals, school beautification workdays, teacher appreciation luncheons and Manna Food Bank drives. The school volunteers serve in various areas, such as chaperoning for field trips, tutoring, reading and supporting special projects. Its educational partners include First United Methodist Church, West Pensacola Optimist Club, CiCi's Pizza, Apple Market, Jackson's Restaurant and McIlwain Memorial Presbyterian Church. N. B.
